So we are going to let a rfa just walk?

Not what I meant. We will just do the typical one year minimum contract thing. He will not be getting a "CONTRACT" like the OP was trying to insinuate.

This team is going to be a SB team for a long time if it ever gets a good QB.

The only problem with this organization/team is the QB

got it

I'd muster up a halfhearted shrug if he walked next year. We could do as well in the draft I'm sure.

RunKC 02-28-2017 08:42 PM

I would be completely fine with Eric Murray taking over tbh

I have a feeling he is more likely to take Parker's role in the next year or so as his cap hit rises to 7 million

WTF ! :cuss:

Have you lost your mind.

Dorsey needs to make Sorenson the 2nd highest paid safwty in the NFL.

I wouldn't mind keeping him but in the neighborhood of $2-2.5M. He always seems to be around the ball. The knock on him this year was that he didn't play the run well. I would point out that in a lot of those situations, he was playing in DJ's spot. That's a pretty unfair comparison in my book.

Zero ****s were given.

He's a role player, not a starter. Those guys don't get big contracts.

Sorensen was the 74th best safety on PFF, 25th in coverage and so bad in run defense the Chiefs mostly took him off the field in those situations, as evidenced by his 127 run snaps.

I'd give him, at most, a three-year $7.5M deal.

They'll give him a solid tender but I expect someone will beat it as the Chiefs would get no compensation for him since he's a UDFA.

They'll tender him, someone with a better cap situation will frontload a 2-year deal and we'll have to let him walk. It won't be the end of the world but he's a versatile guy that I'd rather keep than lose.

But shit happens.

Or give him a high tender and cut Reid to make room for him. Or restructure Houston. Or cut Harris.
