Search is the most processor-intensive function we have, so running a bunch of searches in a row bogs down the entire forum.

I'm starting to think that I should have opened that thread.

If I log on and I see a thread at 100 posts already, I usually figure that I'm out of the loop and will never catch up, so I don't open it. I've missed a few iconic threads for that reason.
