I dislike Brady about as much as any non-Patriot fan can but there is no way in hell he's retiring after putting up over 500 passing yards against the Eagles' defense. That loss was not on him.

Hey, guess who lost a playoff game to Eli Manning in 2011? RIGHT, Aaron Rodgers!! For the record, he has also lost in the playoffs to Kurt Warner, Aaron Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, Carson Palmer and Matty Ryan. But hey, none of them were Super Bowls, so they count less!!

Besides, even Aaron Rodgers disagrees.

Look the reality is that the NFL is a TEAM sport. No matter how many dumb fans want to say it's ALL about the quarterback, ti's not. It's MORE about the quarterback than any other position, but this isn't ****ing tennis. It's a TEAM sport.

Well he finally proved his wife correct...he can’t throw it AND catch it!

GoChargers 02-05-2018 08:45 AM

If SysTom was saddled with Dom Capers' "defenses" his whole career, he'd be ringless. It's a testament to Rodgers' greatness that he was able to drag Capers to a ring.

But hey, it was the Super Bowl, and he was undefeated there, so that means...something. I mean, it's better to NOT get to the Super Bowl at all than it is to get there and lose.

Who never lost in a super bowl he played in. Yeah not TB but if it makes you feel better Brady's fumble made him the GOAT of this last SB.

Montana never lost a Super Bowl and never even threw an interception in a Super Bowl. And he did it in an era where teams were still allowed to play defense. Can SysTom say the same?

Makes me wonder how he does it?

41 years old and still playing at a high level despite taking all those hits, not slowing down either isn’t normal. Heck I’m 39 and I don’t even play football and do physical labour that’s way less intensive than football and I got all sorts of ailments on my body.

****ing hate Tom Brady.

He also played Super Bowls against AFC teams in an era when for the most part the NFC was beating the AFC like a drum every damn year. Alot of those games weren't even competitive, and it didn't much matter which NFC team it was that was there that year.

Meh, whatever. Pointless debate. You won't be convincing me of anything, and I won't be convincing you of anything either. I loved Joe Montana too. If you want to keep him as your number 1, I'm fine with that. Not that you care, of course. :D

Obviously. But I do hope Brady retires not winning a SB. ****ing cheating a**hole!

How is Brady supposed to keep Foles from scoring 41? Brady is the GOAT and this game further proves it. By the way, the Philly defense was playing at an elite level heading into this game.

I know didn't we hear how foles and pederson walked into this great defense?
derp derp defense wins championships derp derp

It always astounds me when people say this QB didn't beat that QB. You do realize that there are defenses in this game correct? That the QB's are never actually on the field facing one another at any point during the game, you get that right? It's as ridiculous as saying that Tony Gonzalez wasn't the GOAT TE because he couldn't beat Antonio Gates.

Tom Brady is the GOAT because throughout this entire 17 year stint, the only two constants to the Patriots success are Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick. If you want to make an argument that Tom Brady isn't the GOAT because he had Bill Bellichick there, then I could understand it. Sometimes you have to man up and give a guy his due, Tom Brady has earned his due. You may not like it, but it's just fact at this point.

Literally no reason to respond. You know that, Amn.

tmax63 02-05-2018 09:23 AM

No no no no the loss is all Brady's fault. If he hadn't fumbled and scored 1 more td the 2nd half they would have won. The defense held them to 41 points, what more could you ask for??????

Which just goes to show how tough the NFC was back then. And Montana had to go through that gauntlet every year.

In contrast, the AFC has been a total joke in Brady's career. It's been the Patriots, Steelers and Peyton Show with occasional cameo appearances by the Ravens.

He on the TB12 juice, he'll play 'til he's 50.
