Usually 1-2 days for being sick.

When you work in healthcare, you're a complete asshole and it's down right dangerous to be going to work in a setting where you work with medically fragile patients. I tell my staff to stay the **** home if you're sick and I don't want that shit either!

My guess would be most places of business have at least one sick(if we're including colds)employee at work almost everyday.

The truth is most businesses want you to stay home when you are sick.

I don't miss work. I'll go to work sick. I'm not a supervisor. It's their job to make the judgement call if I should be there or not

The last time I missed a day of work was in April of 2015 when my dog died.

I have been off since middle of May due to some medical issues nothing major. I have really really enjoyed it, spent a ton of time with my 2 year old grand kid and my wife and I have spent quite a bit of time together also. Longest by far I have been off work since I was probably 16 or so.....going back to work next week...not cause I want to but my fmla is going to run out soon!! I would advise everyone to take some time off so you don't burn out!! I'm more relaxed now than I have been in many years!!

3. I was sick once this winter and I got a staph infection on my leg last week.
