I still listen to Gordon regularly (I'm 35). Was brought up on good music of various genres

The audience in that opening video is very polite and mannerly.

I trend to music that tells a story. Whether it be country, blues or rock. He could tell a story!

One of my favorites, too. I remember seeing him in the mid-70s.

The radio wore that song out for me but a great songwriter and artist for sure. He kinda took up some slack when Jim Croce bit it.

Sundown was overplayed but a great song along with Carefree Highway.

I thought I liked Gordon Lightfoot, but after playing video in the OP I'm reconsidering. Holy lord that was terrible.

Does any one know where the love of God goes
When the waves turn the minutes to hours?
The searchers all say they'd have made Whitefish Bay
If they'd put fifteen more miles behind her
They might have split up or they might have capsized
They may have broke deep and took water
And all that remains is the faces and the names
Of the wives and the sons and the daughters

Big fan. Saw him live several years ago after he had recovered from being ill. Was really glad I had the chance to see him.
