Thuney/Allegretti/Humphrey/Smith/Wylie at least keeps this offensive line so goddamn mean in the ground game that you will force teams to respect it.

Brown/Thuney/Humphrey/Smith/Wylie is a decently above average running offensive line, which no marked improvement against the pass.

My guess is that, on the merits, Thuney is not a solution longterm at LT; eventually teams will scout him and know better how to attack him. But damn he is a fantastic stopgap and I find myself wishing we'd keep him there for Week 18 just to run down the Broncos' throat and secure the 2 seed before we bring Brown back.

Mike Remmers needs to return at RT.

He went on IR in early November and we haven’t heard much about his status other than a recent stint on the COVID list.

It's pretty close to obvious that he's about to be out of football.

Remmers was invaluable for us in 2020 but a back injury is a back injury.

Thuney was serviceable. He got the job done for the most part.

But he ABSOLUTELY looked like a guard playing tackle. And he struggled quite a bit in the 2nd half.

Please just let this Thuney to LT shit die.

Yeah. We'd be downgrading LT AND LG

Thuney looked as good as Brown Sunday. I'm not sure that keeping Thuney at LT, adding a guard, wouldn't be a better move.

No it’s not…

It sounds like another Mitchell Schwartz situation, from Andy today:

Reid also had an update to give on an offensive lineman who has been on injured reserve since late mid-November.

“His back is feeling a little bit better as he goes,” Reid said of Mike Remmers. “We’ll just see. He’s another one that is a real tough kid, like I mentioned with Orlando (Brown Jr.). He’s trying to get back, so if he could be out there, he’d be out there wanting to play. There are no questions on it. He’s still sensitive right now, but it’s getting better.”

That doesn’t sound too promising for a pending activation from injured reserve this week. It’s also interesting that it seems to be the back injury that continues to ail Remmers as opposed to the knee injury he was dealing with around the time of his placement on the injured reserve list. This could be a situation like Mitchell Schwartz last season with his back injury, but Reid seems to at least hold some hope that Remmers has a chance to get back out there during the postseason.

You saw the same 2nd half I did.

We were ripping off 6-7 yards a clip.
