I would take this scenario 100%

PHOG 09-08-2022 07:32 AM

Sounds good to me. :thumb:

So we lose to the powerhouses of the AFC, and win the #1 seed.

Makes no sense gif

pretty standard for andy to have a bit of a downturn midseason after a hot start

i bet they lose two in a row sometime this season

Red Dawg 09-08-2022 07:52 AM

I will take those results.

Lzen 09-08-2022 08:06 AM

I would gladly take that result. Still, the 3 losses in a row, losing to the Bills, Bengals, and Rams, etc. might be a bit off target. His previous predictions were pretty solid and fairly accurate. Though last year he was overly optimistic by a couple of games. Makes sense, though.

I've got:

@Cardinals: W

I just don't see the Cardinals matching up well here. Defensively, they just don't have the horses to hold KC down.

Chargers: W
Chiefs unveil several of the 2022 wrinkles in this game and catch the Chargers with their pants down. Herbert tries to run over Nick Bolton like he ran over Anthony Hitchens, and pays for it. Brian Cook records his first career INT on a 4th down attempt from Herbert late to seal it.

@Colts: W
The Colts have made some nice upgrades, but the Chiefs will remind Colts fans why the Carl Peterson plan doesn't work.

@Bucs: W
Revenge for KC, but this is more about an offense that is better situated to deal with the Bucs' D, and the weakness of the interior OL of the Bucs than anything else.

Raiders: W
Still not good enough in the secondary to deal with KC/Mahomes, and Chandler Jones will prove to be a downgrade from Yannick Ngakuoe

Bills: W
Bills bet it all on their Super Bowl and... fail.

@49ers: L
Tough road contest after a big emotional win.

Titans: W
The Titans' window is closing, folks.

Jags: W
Pederson and his squad scare his mentor, but KC pulls out a squeaker.

@Chargers: L
Another barn burner, this time the Chargers come out on top. The national media celebras the win by proclaiming the 6-4 Chargers as a bigger threat than the 8-2 Chiefs.

Rams: L
Here's the losing streak. Aaron Donald does Aaron Donald things and LA wins a squeaker.

@Bengal: W
Chiefs finally clear this hurdle

@Broncos: W
The streak continues. Quesadilla Joe disappears for the next 10 months.

@Texas: W
They suck out loud.

Seahawks: W
They suck out loud.

Broncos: W
Cementing the West cellar. The defense continues to slide without Fangio's touch.

@Raiders: W/L, depending on how much KC needs the win to secure homefield advantage and/or the West divison.

So I've got them at 14-3 or 13-4, depending on the last week.

O.city 09-08-2022 08:29 AM

I just don't see the Rams coming into Arrowhead and winning.

I agree with all of this, except for the losses. I have those as wins

Same. IMHO KC would have throttled them in the SB had they not shit themselves in the second half against Cincy. Repeating myself: WTF happened in the second half of those games? JFC, it's like Mahomes decided to stay in the locker room. Absolutely bizarre.

Chris Meck 09-08-2022 09:18 AM

I've had us 12-5 all off-season. It's a rough schedule, and we'll drop a head-scratcher in there somewhere, as we usually do.

Chargers schedule is easier, and they might well take the division with an equal record or a game up.

And it won't matter, because come play-off time, we'll be rolling.

Does anyone know the stats on Stafford playing road games against teams in Winter markets without domes?

A lot of those dome QBs tend to really struggle in rougher conditions.

I wonder what his stats looked like home vs away against Bears and Packers during his time in Detroit.
