If JuJu receives a ball across the middle, there is a safety there, and he gets popped. If WRs for, say, the Bengals get the ball across the middle, Juan Thornhill is there. And he'll graze them, or whiff at them, or take wasted motion before trying to wrangle them in. He's in position; he's right there to pop them, but he doesn't. There's no "tax" to attacking us across the middle. There's no penalty. Teams don't worry about it. Hopefully as the seasons go by, and Cook replaced Thornhill in the role, there will be a tax to pay. But right now there isn't, and it's allowing the best QBs to attack us there with impunity. |

I do agree, that this team isn't leagues away from where it needs to be. But there is a glass ceiling there and I'm not 100% sure we have the tools to break it right now. |

I'm not truly concerned about the loss. I will say that. I did want that win, though. Most annoying thing about all of it is the Bengals/Burrow is our daddy bullshit I have to read until we're able to beat them or win another Super Bowl. |

Our Defense continues to NOT get stops when it really needs them.
Imagine how good this team would be with a defense that forces 3+ punts per game. |
Since week 6 we have the most turnovers of any team. Last nights game with 5 from the Colts may have moved them ahead of us.
We are turning the ball over and not getting enough back. That's not helping. Add in a DLine that got NO pressure on Burrow yesterday and we got beat. Our DBs did a great job, just too much time. |

The Chiefs DL didn't come to play, they figured out if you make Bolton the point man in the run game he's a worse player than if he can scrape over the top. The safeties were also absolute trash, this style of team is extremely difficult for the defense.
Without a blitz we have zero pressure and Burrow sits there all day until a WR manhandles a CB for separation or he scrambles for 8....if you blitz him he lights you up every single play. If you can't get 4 down pressure they're gonna move the ball all day. |
You can't blitz elite QB's. We've seen this over and over and over. You've gotta get pressure with 4.

The Kelce fumble was just too huge. |

Joe Burrow is an elite QB in the pocket. |
Bengals are giving up just over 3 sacks per game. Chiefs only got one that Burrow just gave them.
KC has to figure out how to get to Burrow. I don;t care if they hit him late. They need to make him uncomfortable. |
