But I can't find a single **** to give.

Fair - I just would think some of the inaccuracies had to stem from that throw where he drilled his elbow on someone’s helmet.

For all we know that got a bit of nerve and threw everything off, no pun intended. He was nowhere near that inaccurate during preseason.

That was my only gripe as well... he badly missed many of the few guys that DID get open, but still he only had a week to practice with that cobbled together group and plain jane gameplan

Andy Reid's pre-game speech: "Hey guys, this game means shit. Pretend you are making an effort and just don't get hurt."

…. Is that he was ****ed from the start yesterday. No one’s fault really. But hear me out.

At OL, he got three whole snaps from Creed, Thuney, and Trey respectively. Zero from Jawaan obviously.

At RB, he got zero from Hunt or Pacheco.

At WR, he got zero from Hopkins or Hollywood and one from Worthy.

That part is whatever, it was the right call by Reid and the staff. Where Wentz really got shafted is having to go against a good defense that had everything to play for in their house.

There was not a worse opponent to go up against yesterday based purely on circumstances. It’s not like Trubisky who got to face a Patriots team that woulda been happy to lose and pick #1. It’s not like had he played even the Raiders or Chargers yesterday; both teams who had already sealed their respective fates beyond Week 18.

He had to lead that offense against the most motivated defense of all 32 yesterday.

I just think the discussion should be contextualized a little. I’d be thrilled to have him back next year and unfortunately for him now, he may not have much of a choice. But all the finger pointing at him is pretty dumb, IMO. Especially when you factor in he drilled that elbow on a helmet during the first quarter.

So you're saying he's in a similar situation to DJ Humphries and deserves to start in the divisional round?

I’m not gonna lie, I wished we had Chad Henne in that game.

Hammock Parties 01-06-2025 06:14 PM

conspiracy: he's way better than he played and they want to keep him as a backup

Easy 6 01-06-2025 06:19 PM

Its no conspiracy, he was handed a shitburger and he had to eat it

I tend to agree with this. But henne and chase Daniel have done this before and didn't look like nearly the same kind of shit sandwich. I don't want to knock Wentz on 1 performance but that was really awful

Henne saved the day leading a full complement of starters, its not even remotely comparable situations come on man

I wasn't mad at Wentz, dude was running for his life. Mahomes can handle it but he's about the only one that could.

Megatron96 01-06-2025 06:48 PM

I didn’t really expect that much, given the circumstances and the roster he had to play with. However, I did expect to see at least a flash or two of competent quarterback play from Carson, which really didn’t seem to happen, imo.

But, logically I can’t really hold yesterday‘s performance against him, all things considered. However, I probably will remember it if he ever gets another chance to play in a meaningful game for Kansas City. Here’s to hoping that Carson erases the memory of Yesterdays game with a much better performance in the future.

He took the beating I expected him to take. I cared not at all yesterday and I care not at all today.

gblowfish 01-06-2025 07:18 PM

Shoulda played Chris Okley-Dokley at the half.
