Im against it,
but wouldnt be as pissed with that scenario as I would in other drafts because I do think Barkley can be a good player in a WCO.

It's just unnecessary, complicated, and overly risky. We don't need the extra picks, and if we have Reid I'd rather he work with a guy like Geno rather than Barkley.

That would be a move that pisses me off. It's only a slight upgrade from drafting Teo and taking Glennon in the 2nd

bigdaddychieffan 12-30-2012 05:48 PM

It's where the Chiefs heads are when they take a dump.

BossChief 12-30-2012 05:48 PM

here we go.

Over/under on how many of these pop up over the next week is set at 23.

Pete should be good for a couple.

The chiefs get the pick right before the second pick in the draft.

Two picks before the third pick.

We trade down into the 7th-10th overall range, take Barkley. But add 3 total firsts. Including the one to replace ours. Along with a 2nd and I'd think about it.

I'm not a big Andy Reid fan. But we could have worse scenarios. But I don't see anybody falling that much in love with Geno that they're willing to trade the farm to get him #1.

At the end of the day I just want Geno #1.

Once Goodell announces us drafting a QB with the #1 pick then I will believe it.

If we decide there's no QB worth the 1st pick and we don't want Star, NOBODY ELSE is gonna want them either, especially not going to trade picks.

I would turn down nearly any offer to trade down...just thought it was worth noting that Matt Barkley can be a quality NFL starter in a WCO and I dont think he has a part to his game that would hold a team back from winning it all with him. People that say his arm is weak are dumbshits. His arm is fine, just not top shelf. I think its every bit as strong as Tom Brady or Peyton Mannings.

They already had their ****ing QB and they needed to build around him.

Meh. Joeckel is pretty damn good. But adding another starting LT won't help the team. There's no reason Branden Albert isn't back next year. Pay him. Get the QB.

Meh, RGIII is good, but he's in the absolute perfect system for the style he plays. People don't realize that yet.

Is Joeckel a once in a generation LT prospect? Cause if not, Ive been told he won't be worth the first overall pick.

Joeckel is coming from a spread offense, playing a position that is harder to translate from spread to NFL than the QB.

Cool. We'll file him under the Other category. I think he has potential. But I hated how he played against some of the better defenses. Watch him shred Tennessee. Then crap his pants against any of the top 25 D's.

If we actually needed a left tackle and had a QB, I wouldnt be opposed to trading back and taking Joekel...the kid has the tools.

If we let Albert walk and draft Joekel, Im gonna start looking for bombs that are for sale.

If there isn't a once in a generational QB, is there a LT, pass rusher, WR, RB, etc that is? Or one that is worth the first pick?

The upside of a QB is so so so much ****ing higher than that of a WR or LT, that it's a no brain decision.
