I just like things simple. Kickass is very simple.

It would be simpler to just shove things in your pocket in stores and walk out the door. That doesn't mean that it's not a shitty thing to do.

I am very surprised that Weird Al did not make a video for Inactive. Whoever made the decisions on which songs to make into videos really missed the boat on that one, that parody would have been pretty popular.

The thread would be a failure if we missed the last one:

Weird Al for Super Bowl Half Time.

I'm listening to Grand Funk Railroad right now.

No regrets.

Do you not tire of the same music all the time?

Seriously. I love the stuff I loved when I was a kid, but I'm constantly looking for, and enjoying new music.

And people who say there isn't any good music anymore are full of shit. They're just too set in their ways, or too lazy to look for it.

Has nothing to do with listening to the same music over and over.

Has everything to do with not wanting to be subjected to CRAP like Pharrell and Daft Punk.

Same as it ever was really.

You have to LOOK for good music. If you want to be spoon fed, prepare to eat a lot of garbage.

Eh, I'm a big fan of his, but I'm not a proponent of that. Weird Al has thrived by staying in his niche for years, and I think he'd get chewed up by the media for it. I'd rather he just stick to doing his thing.

Wait... so you've never heard of them, yet you believe them to be crap? Good way of thinking.

That was Mennonite that hadn't heard of them.

If my only option was the radio, I would. But thanks to the internet I have an entire world of music, books and movies that i would never have had the chance to experience without it. I know that sounds corny, but it's true.

I'm not a music expert by any means but I do have fairly wide ranging tastes. I like a bit of everything from classical to bluegrass to 80's metal. I don't care for rap (outside of the Beastie Boys of course) or modern pop/country. I find techno about as soulless as light jazz. Is it possible that I could stumble across a song that I like from one of those genres? Yes. But it's extremely unlikely. Why bother keeping track of top 40 stuff when I can spend my time digging through stuff from Hank Sr, Ali Farka Touré, Led Zep bootlegs, obscure British garage bands, and forgotten rockabilly artists?

This what I'm listening to now:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/tw2Y-TclZFQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/lab_S3Ix8x8?hl=en_US&amp;version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/lab_S3Ix8x8?hl=en_US&amp;version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

Old I know, but so am I.

Anybody know how I can get an embedded video to start at a particular point?

When did *I* say I've never heard of them?

Use Youtube tags, like this:

[.youtube.]AduIrDqBtGA&start=60[./youtube.]

(Remove the periods of course)

Works like a charm. Thank you very much!

Speaking of The Who - my dad saw them in 75. He said towards the end of the show someone threw a shoe on stage. Keith Moon said "Great - other bands get girls throwing their panties on stage and we get an old shoe."

Or go to the spot, right click on the video and choose 'get embed at'

I'm afraid I'm not seeing that option. All I see listed is "Copy URL at" and "Copy Embed Code." So I can do one or the other but not both.
