I'm not new, just quiet.
I joined in Aug of '02. I have a total of 81 posts in almost 3 years. I do visit the planet daily. I always find some funny stuff, some crazy stuff and a bunch of strong opinions about my favorite professional sports team. I am a big KU fan (and yes I am glad Giddens is gone). Oh the dirt: I'm 30 and purchased my 1st home this spring. I have a fat cat named Boozer who is 5 and a golden retriever named Phoebe who is 11 months. Both of my "kids" are adopted from animal shelters. |

A member by the name of Badger told me about the Planet via the old Ra!ders Locker room. He a Chiefs fan, me a Ra!ders fan, seemed to get along. (I know, I know but hell it’s my story so pizz off!) Anyway, my first vist wen’t ok, then the second one saw me get into a hey I can talk tough on line fight with Hawianboy, which he won, OH BOY did he win. :banghead: I made a thread with an apology, and life went on. :( There’s a few of us Ra!der fans who are actually tolerated around here. It took a while but I finally fit in around here. Now if a Fader can make 4000 posts on a Chiefs board, ANYONE can make a spot to sit at the bar around here! I’ve made quite a few Internet friends here. And there always here to pick on me during the reg season. :cuss: |

Legit question. When I started posting at the star(reading mostly) there was a poster by that name. He was somewhat of a bully from what I recall, and ended up challenging basically every poster on the board to a fight at the airport. He posted his number at work, some called it(claiming to be me in some cases)......and I know Phobia was taunting him that he was going to meet him and yadayadayada. The guy said he was a Secret agent etc......thats the gist....Others may wish to expound. I think my first Internet "L-O-L" came from a quick rendition of "Secret Aaaaaagent Keck" the musical. |

This is a family albeit a dysfunctional one. We have our closeted gay uncle with herpes (Phobia), our drunken asshole father (ENDelt), the creepy cousin that gets on everyone's nerves (GoQueef), and the naggin mothers that shall remain nameless. The important thing is that we all will stick together and stomp the mudhole of any asshole in Silver and Black, Orange and Blue, and even the flames with the bolts on their helmets. |

The real point the noobs need to hear, which has been touched on, is that 95% of the beatings dished out on the Planet are sibling-type. Yeah, we're smaking someone around, but it's out of love. The moment that person is in actualy pain or distress we back off and/or lend support. You will be harded pressed to find a finer online community.
We need the noobs and lurkers to keep the gene pool fresh. You lurkers especially. You should add to the commentary you enjoy so much so that it doesn't become stale. |

I love this place. I do get intimidated because I don't know stats or a lot about what each position on D and O are necessarily supposed to do. I grew up in a small town and we couldn't afford a football team, so I never played the game. I don't record the games and play them over and over so I can see who missed or made a good play. I do have the NFL ticket and I NEVER miss a Chiefs game. I am passionate about the Chiefs!! BigDaddy kind of scares me but not as much as Pittbulls. Just kidding about BD but not about Pittbulls. I expect I'm quite a bit older than most on this BB. I've said before there are some funny Mother fuckers on here. I have learned more about football from here than anywhere else. I'm also not real computer literate which also intimidates me. I not a real social butterfly, but I would really like to party with you people. Oh and I am also passionate about hunting. I think we have had a tremendous off season and I can't wait to see what we can do with an outstanding O and a good D. That's all. Thanks for reading.

I lurk mostly because of time constraints. Yes I have a life, unlike most of you ga-jillian post count regulars :shake: When I have been in the mood to post (rarely), I find it can take a lot of time. Hats off to you guys to provide me entertainment. Additionally, I find that I don't materially have anything of interest to add. So I don't. The Planet is a valuable resource that I use on occassion for research...see +HP for a Trailblazer or Where to Paddle in MO. There is quite a bit of insight available with numerous varing opinions. There is also a GREAT variation in intellect as well. Which adds to the humor value. I think that most of the above is why Lurkers out number regulars. A long, long time ago when I was a newbie, I remember one of my first posts was knocked out of the ballpark by Rain Man and his comical wit. I was embarrassed. I walked the streets for days, wondering if I'd made the right decision to post here. After a while, I decided to come back, I stepped in front of the computer. I posted again, and again, and again.
