Admittedly the downside is limited, but the upside is HUGE. If, by some miracle, they do nail this you can bet 810 will be scrambling to find a way to claim they knew. |

My point is guys like Keitzman, Whitlock, and many of the "journalists" on ESPN etc. say all kinds of stuff every offseason and they aren't half right about any of it. No one ever holds them accountable or questions their credibility because they've forgotten about it. I'll never forget hearing years ago that Carl Peterson was going to leave the Chiefs and take the Eagles GM job. I don't remember who said it but it was on ESPN or Inside the NFL on HBO. It wasn't even close to the truth and I'm sure the guy who said it is still employed somewhere. I wouldn't have people fired for being wrong about things like that but I would expect them to tone down their sensational reporting after being made a fool of. |
I can't believe, this fugtards Bullshit thread is going for the Century club....

According to KFFL:
Jets | Law Must Lower Price? Fri, 15 Jul 2005 06:37:06 -0700 Updating previous reports, Newsday's Ken Berger reports free agent CB Ty Law (Patriots) must lower his asking price for the New York Jets to give any consideration to signing him, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. |

Everyone was wrong when they said that USC defensive tackle Manuel Wright would go no later than the third round in Thursday's supplemental draft. Wright, who has tremendous upside, cost the Dolphins a fifth-round pick in the 2006 draft, which could turn out to be a bargain if the kid applies himself and gets into camp right away. The Eagles passed on Wright despite speculation that they were interested. Source Most of what passes for journalism about sports is speculation. |

The report I heard on WEEI is attributed to the KC radio station - not a new scoop.

After listening to KC sports radio for a while I wouldn't be shocked if half their scoops come from posts on BB's... |
I heard from a guy who heard from Ben Maller who heard from 610 who heard from...

Now I know why I never got that BB gun... |
Doesn't KC have the most cap room of the remaining interested teams? This is the only reason I think it could still happen. If only 4-5 teams want him, and KC is the team with the most to offer (even if it's not what he wants), wouldn't it make sense that they would be the front runner?
I'm not holding my breath or anything, but it seems as if that would make sense. |

Seems to ME that Az-Hakim agreed in principle and actually SIGNED a contract and took off to the BIG EASY.
Law and his agents could be using the CHIEFS yet AGAIN to get the ball rolling for a better deal from another team. I'll start to cheer when I see it posted on the CHIEFS site and it stays there for more than two days. Just trying to be the Devils Advocate. :D . |

WARPAINT ILLUSTRATED AGREES TO TERMS WITH TY LAW!!!
It has been reported that Warpaint Illustrated publisher Nick Athan and CB Ty Law have agreed to a 1-day contract. However, the deal is contigent as to whether Ty Law had a pen in handy to work in conjunction with Nick Athan on publishing an article that he will not sign with the Chiefs.
