Vince Young will be an excellent Pro QB, but he will need a few years to figure out how to throw the ball like a man. If he can learn to throw like a man, and get on a team that can let him sit and learn for awhile, he can be a stud.

"Throw the ball like a man" I pictured some weird commercial with guys talking about how manly they throw the ball then selling deodorant when you said that for some reason.

I can understand what you are trying to say-rap music, makes want to puke. If you don't like the music,Geddys voice, Canadians, awesome drums and guitar playing, that is fine, not your cup of tea. But to dismiss them as no talent bums-that is shallow, and closed minded.

I have always loved Rush, but when they came back, it was amazing. That CD, personally came at a time when I had lost everything-or so I thought. But if Neil can come back from that-I could at least quit wallowing in self pitty and make a new life.

And another thing-I ain't about hate-just the opposite. I want to have fun in life. Ya, I rant at shit that irritates me-but I don't hate anyone on here. I make just the same amount of jokes at my own expense as I do others. If shit is funny its funny, I don't care who its about. Life is too short to get pissed about stuff you can't control. I know because like Rush, I got a second chance after being gone for a few minutes-believe me, you find out what is important in life.

I thought he was talking about the Levitra commercial. Hmmmmm...maybe that's the solution. Vince has ED

Not saying he's a lock to succeed, but the "the guy can't throw" stuff is BS. He completes a high percentage, has a nearly 3/1 TD/INT ratio, and does a good job of handling pressure. He's gotten it done impressively two years in a row at the biggest game of the year. Instead of comparing him to Vick because he's black, why don't we compare him to another successful running college QB like Steve Young. That guy never did jack.

I'll say it again, given the right cast around him, I see no reason why he can't be every bit as successful as any other highly rated QB coming out of college.

Rush is just to 70's and annoying sounding to me than anything. I like bands like Sevendust, so Rush isn't my cup of tea that's for sure.....

I meant to quote a post on Vick II...

Why do people think VY can't read a D? He hasn't seemed to have had a problem with that all year.

I agree-he needs a year to ride the pine and learn. He needs to study the game more. A pro LB hits a lot harder-better learn to slide.

It could be said that lots of those players he bounced off of tonight, in September at Ohio State, and last year against Michigan he will be playing against in the NFL.

I mean, he's not playing D2 talent here.

Halfcan 01-05-2006 01:09 AM

Sevendust is a descent enough band. I would bet you Rush had some kind of influence on them. Weather its the lyrics, music, the drummer trying to pick up tips from Neils playing. Rush has taken over the world-you just don't know it yet.

Fergit it! I was hoping that he would fall to #6 so Oakland could get him. After the National Championship - no way he falls that far. No way.

Holy freakazoid. If anyone wants to criticize Vince Young after last night's game, you're just never going to be satisfied. To heck with Bush and Leinert, Vince Young is one of those guys I'd give up a draft for.

On that last drive, I told my wife that it was a foregone conclusion that Young would score the winning touchdown. That dude has poise to go along with pocket awareness, a live arm, and scrambling ability.

I repeat. Holy freakazoid.

Bah, in the NFL WR's run for 200 yards, pass for 267, throw no picks, and don't get sacked. They also make 2 heisman winners on the other sideline seem ordinary.

You should know this!

I'll bet he even recognized John Candy up in the stands.

Good comparison for a bitter homer. I couldn't have put it better myself.

Although, with that said, a poor man's Trent Green would be more accurate.

Haters. Most people on this board think if the QB is anything but a slow white statue that something is wrong with them.

No.

His offense and the zone read scheme is tailored for his running ability, but he is NOT in an UBER-friendly passing system ala Matt Leinart (with 2 great WRs and a great TE).

His passing numbers are unreal given the talent and system.
