Nice picture, CAO I've had a few, Liked them. Was in the mood for something new.
Went for some Rocky Patels - 1999, that I've not tried before. Got a sungrown and Connecticut wrapper, two of each. I've been chewing on the connecticut for about an hour while I got some food ready and started an online tourney. Just finished eating and going to poor a scotch and light this baby up...... |
So far, pretty good. Nice flavor, excellent draw. Has a rather mellow coffee taste, so I decided to have an Irish coffee to go with it.
Excellent desert, I might say... |

Speaking of RP's, have you tried their Edge? Very strong, if you like that type, I do sometimes..... Great strong dark wrapped smoke for about five bucks. |

The cigar I probably smoke the most is a Don Carlos #2 |
Quote:
haven't met Don Carlos or El Rico....... yet. I like the maduro wrapper too, but not all the time. You should give the edge a try, sometime. another strong one I got is the one I am saving for my first golf outing, the big La Gloria series R. Not a maduro, but a stout cigar none the less. |

My ol man is big into cigars...he is all about the Coheebah's (sp?)
Never tried it...I will give one a whirl one of these days. |

Cohiba's, yea they're good. The Cuban Cohiba's are what I brought back from my last cruise. |

smoked a Partagas black label recently and almost couldn't finish it, totally over powered me....you need to smoke more regularly to enjoy that.... |

That Pardon packs a punch too. I've seen a lot of people turn green on those bad boys. ROFL |

yup, I brought back two cohiba's and two Monticristo's from Mexico last month, the cohiba wasn't bad either. |

I don't think I've tried that Padron, probably would have remembered it if it's that strong. |

Padron makes a lot of cigars. That's just a really big one that's a maduro. Their Anniversary series are my favorite cigars. This is their most recent. http://www.padron.com/article.php here is the magnum http://www.padron.com/cigar_show.php?cigar=magnum |
out on the porch with a just lit up rocky patel vintage 99, connecticut wrapper, nice. I can still smell the rain in the air, the weather is cool and calm, listening to some music and relaxing, life is so good sometimes....
|
I just found out about Cigar International, made an order for 6 brands and around 50 cigars. The process was pretty simple and the prices are better than the cigar shops. Just look for some of their deals.
But I am curious if anyone else has good or bad stories from ordering through the mail with CI or any other company |
Cigars smell so bad I cannot bring myself to smoking them.
|
Don Thomas cigars are pretty good. I also like Habana Gold and Penatellas.

Good to hear! They seem to carry some good prices and I couldn't tell any defects on the cigars I got, including the five pack of Rocky Patels Rejects (I'm not above trying to save a few bucks...) |
Had 4 Cigars this weekend
2 Cuban Monte Cristo's 1 Don Carlos #2 1 Padron 1926 Anniversary series |

Not that anyone gives a Rats Ass but:
ACTION ALERT FOR CIGAR SMOKERS TO OUR CUSTOMERS....Sorry for another e-mail however Congress is proposing a huge increase in Cigar Excise Taxes...Please take time to read this e-mail and act now!!! The Finance Committee of the United States Senate is proposing an expansion of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) solely through higher tobacco taxes that will have a draconian impact on the cigar industry. Under the current proposal, the large cigar tax rate would increase 156.4% (from 20.719% to 53.13% of the manufacturer’s selling price) and the current tax cap of around $0.05 per cigar would increase an astounding 20,413% to $10 per cigar. All large cigars would effectively be taxed at 53.13% of the manufacturer’s selling price. In all of the Internal Revenue Code, no other product is subject to an excise tax that approaches this level. The little cigar tax would increase 2,635% – to $1,828 per 1,000 to $50 per 1,000. To compound the injury, a floor stocks tax would be assessed on all products in inventory. The full Senate is expected to consider the legislation next week, but possibly sooner. We need you to act now and immediately contact your U.S. Senators. A consumer should only contact his own Senators because Senators are most responsive to their own constituents. Call, fax or e-mail the offices of your own U.S. Senators, give them your name and address and ask that they vote to oppose the punitively high cigar tax increases in the State Children’s Health Insurance Program legislation.
