That might be true but I didn't intentionally try to annoy others when I first started posting my views, yet I was also subjected to the same type of verbal abuse. As were others that voiced opposing views. My style is to just respond by discussing the issue to death. Her way of responding might be, "I told you so." And, "oopsie."

I read her posts. Lots of trolls around here, too. But most of them are hit and run trolls. When she posts something she's willing to defend it to the end. And she does that very well which causes some people to resort to unsavory tactics because they get pissed.

She's no different than the way Ringleader was.

What I'd do is tell her that if she has a problem with any poster and it's to the "harrassment" level then report it to a mod. And have the mod handle it (oh mighty one).

If the issue persists... use your judgement to handle it accordingly (without bias). But if she's going to threaten people for what could be just a response then it's probably best that she gets banned because if she can't stand the heat then she shouldn't be in the kitchen. Noone needs to have authorities inolved over an BB dispute.

My point is that a lot of the people who are bitching about her "tactics" are really just bitching about her message. They are using the "troll policy" as cover. What's funny is that some of them actually believe it.

I don't know all the specifics of who you've banned in the past, but in my view I've never seen her cross the line any more than some of the other regulars around here. Like I said, maybe she's done something in the past few days that truly goes beyond the pale (I'm not on the board 12 hours a day like some people), but in my experience around here the only people that cross the line are those that heap god-awful abuse on her no matter what she does. Even when she does post on a noncontroversial topic you usually get a few trolls who jump on and start saying things to her that they'd never say to her face.

I don't know why she's stayed as long as she has. I would have written off some of the worst abusers as insufferable bullies and left a long time ago.

Like I said before, the forum owners and/or mods can do what they want. But don't be so naive to think that the primary motivation here is that Denise somehow fell below some magical "football post ratio".

I object to using the obscure old rule that people must post football related topics because (a) I think it is outdated and the nature of the board has changed, and more importantly (b) I'd prefer if she stayed in DC and didn't talk football.
