I'm beginning to see why people get irritated with Hootie.

IN THE NFL... YOU PLAY TO WIN GAMES, YOU DON'T PLAY FOR A HIGH DRAFT PICK. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE A PLAYOFF CALIBER TEAM... STOP ACTING LIKE WE'RE THE ONLY TEAM THAT TRIES TO WIN... SO WHAT IF WE DON'T HAVE A CHANCE AGAINST INDY OR NE? NO ONE ELSE DOES, EITHER (MAYBE DALLAS)... |

Anyway I just want Huard to play the 1st half like he does the 2nd half. Quit dicking around and make some plays in the first half. |

I just don't see why tanking the year automatically means we'll be a force the next year. Plenty of teams have tanked and had nothing to show for it.
Croyle wasn't good enough to beat out a QB that has been labeled by nearly everyone on this thread as pure dogshit. What makes anyone think he's going to magically become Marino next year? There are far more QBs that looked like shit their rookie year and continued to look like shit until they were spit out the bowels of the NFL, than guys that magically turned it on their second year of starting. I hope Croyle is good, but he sucked at Alabama and has sucked with the Chiefs. I'm not holding my breath for him to be the savior. I'll wait until the season is in the drain to get him some experience. We're not talking about Manning, he was as sure a thing as you get. Croyle is a gamble at best. |

Makes no sense... You get three teams, I get one, and you get odds? I don't know what kind of injuries might happen, or what Herm might end up doing with the QB position... How about this (I'll propose something ridiculous, too)... If the Chiefs win the division, you have to rob the closest 711 with a loaded gun and a shirt on that has your full name, address, and contact information...if they don't, I have to send a gift card for $50.00 to IHOP. Take the bet, or shut the fuck up. |

Fine, then we'll go straight up. After all, the Chiefs still are the best team. 100 bones, via PayPal. |

Makes no sense. I am fully aware of my bias for the Chiefs as I am a Chiefs fan. I know the AFC West well enough to KNOW the Chiefs are the best team in the division right now, hands down. But what kind of bet would this be if LJ, DJ, Allen, Huard, Bowe, Tony Gonzalez all suddenly got injured? It's dumb. You have three teams, I have one, and you want a straight up bet?! Ha! If the futures were up for division titles the Chiefs would be 10:2 or 6:1 or something...not 1:1, that's absurd. |
they will still pick the Chargers for the next 4 weeks, but when they are 1-7 they will remove their mouths from the Chargers cocks

Most people would argue San Diego is still the best team in the West, and they are in last. A lot of people think the Ravens are the best team in their division, and the Steelers are in first... Same with the Bears, Saints, etc... After four weeks, the Chiefs, to me, are the best team in this division. |

2) If they were the best team in the division, they would be in first place alone. Upon what are you basing your opinion? Please be specific. Are the Chiefs just biding their time? |

HE'S A REALIST, HAVEN'T YOU HEARD?!
AND THEN WHEN THE CHIEFS DO WELL, HE CAN BE LIKE, "YAY, I'M A CHIEFS FAN, YAY!" BUT WHEN THEY DO POORLY, HE CAN BE LIKE "I TOLD YOU SO, I'M MR. SUPER INTELLECTUAL!" It's a win-win for him (or so he thinks)... It's like THE MAQ, he builds himself outs so he can think he's never wrong... I make predictions based off what I actually think, and I have a pretty decent track record... People like that piece of shit are so negative it's sick. |

This is basically what I have learned about ESPN.
1. If you aren't on the east coast, or your team isn't the Indianapolis Colts, they plain and simply do not cover your team unless they have to with MNF or something like that. 2. If you aren't on the east coast, and your team doesn't have a player named Terrell Owens, Peyton Manning, LaDanian Tomlinson, then they will not cover a damn thing about your team. 3. If your team is located in the midwest, sorry folks they wont cover them, with the exception of some Chicago teams in recent years, and the Jordan years (Bulls). 4. If you have a superstar on your team, like for instance we have Larry Johnson. Unless he does something that catches the media's eye, our team won't ever get covered. For example, him holding out was a big story, it even was about a 3rd of a portion of HBO Hard Knocks. ESPN will cover the bigger markets, no matter how bad they suck. That's just the way it works. The only way ESPN covers a midwestern team is if they do something siginificant in the sports world like winning a Super Bowl from coming out of nowhere (1999 Rams), choking bigtime in the NLCS (2003 Cubs), or winning a World Series, (2006 Cardinals), or Dante Hall's record and the perfect (so-far) Chiefs in 2003 starting 9-0, being the last team to be defeated, and that's really stretching it too. And quite frankly I could give a flying **** what ESPN thinks. |
