Clark doesn't have the loyalty to Carl compared to Lamar.

If Clark had any sense at all he would have never let King Carl hire Germ Edwards in the first place!

Yep and unfortunately it seems the Hunt family still loves Massa Carl. :(

I honestly don't know what good it would be doing them from a business standpoint to bring back Carl. This year seems to show even more people are fed up with the same ol crap. I don't think there is anything he can say or do to help. We are rebuilding anyway. There seems to be a rift between him and Herm anyway: Herm finally won and got Croyle to start, Kendrell Bell sticking around even trying to play special teams to now being inactive 2 weeks in a row along with drummond, plus in one of the recent interviews Herm alluding to a "transition year" and that he finally said it publically. I took that as a shot at CP, could be wrong.

Assuming Clark doesn't like Carl and would favor a change, I think it all depends on how he feels about Herm. We could go with Denny Thum and Kuharich in an interim role for '08 while continuing to interview candidates. Denny with the business side and Kuharich the football stuff with Strong imput from Herm. As long as someone insists and gets Herm to hire a capable OC to teach the young guys and put them in a good position to exeed. That's if Herm wouldn't do this on his own, which i doubt.

That along with canning the PR staff, esp Bob Moore and the idiot's who tongue CP's turd cutter every chance they get. I think (don't know) that Pete Morris is well liked and gets along with Herm. Whoever, just a new look for the whole PR people and the relations to the fans and media.

As for CP? If I were Clark i would give him 3 choices:

Option 1: Take a big step back out of the spot light, public eye, and take a Steadman role/whatever title to finish his last 2 years but leave him to deal with stadium renovations. No hand in Football matters with personel.

Option 2: Be a man and step away like Marty when he realized it (quoting marty himself) " had been long enough and was time to give someone else a shot."

Or just plain fire his ass and get on with it.

I don't see how anyone can not see that we have got everything out of Carl we could get.

I agree, that dick head has been dining out on Derrick Thomas for too long, but he'll milk another 3 years out of it.

I'm willing to rebuild, thats why I'm thrilled to see Croyle and Smith on the field and starting.

BINGO! This IS, and always have been, a REBUILDING YEAR. I have been watching every game with that in mind. Frankly, I want to watch our young guys do well and that's enough for me. I'm happy about the Raider game despite the loss. Our young'ns gave a good account of themselves. We discovered a new RB. Bowe further proved his awesomeness, and Brodie got one more game under his belt without breaking under the pressure. On top of that we improved our draft position in a recordwise meaningless season.

MOhillbilly 11-26-2007 08:29 AM

if Herm gets fired, Gunther gets another shot.

We are ****ed as long as that ass wears a headset in KC. Ugh.

The issue has more to do with the organization not being transparent to their loyal fans. I would be fine if the FO came out and said, we have a team to rebuild for x and y reasons. Telling the fans what is involved and what it takes. I would be far more supportive if they would have been upfront about it. Hiding under the pretense that they think they are competitive when they are not, letting the young talent who have shown some good signs but not getting their chance until midway through the season was stupid.

The team is rebuilding? The Chiefs organization doesn't say so. So, in light of that, Herm should be fired for not winning when his team is competitive and not in the rebuilding process.

No team ever says they're rebuilding.
