I hope not. They deserve to have about 30-40 years of going 3-8 to make up for all the beatings they gave to everyone else in the Big 8 except OU.

If only OU would fire Stoops and hire Callahan.

Me and a buddy of mine. He's not really a college football fan, but after last season he's starting to come around. Says Mizzou's fun to watch.

Me too. Could be a bit of a coming out party, if things go right.

I know Nebraska's struggling right now, but it's still at Nebraska. If Daniel and company go up there and light up the scoreboard, the national media will take notice.

That said... it's no sure thing. Again, it's at Nebraska.

He's still hanging around in the NFL... playing for the Jets, isn't he?

In his day, we were basically a one man team... and we were still pretty damn good. Says a lot for his talents.

He is, a wide receiver/backup QUBE. He really was the offense, even though there were some players - Sean Coffey, Justin Gage, that other dude ( :D ).......

We were mediocre - okay against non-conference scrubs and so-so against the conference, always pisspounded by the big dogs. Occasional flashes, but not much beyond that.

Still, that's a credit to Smith. I'd hate to think how bad we'd have been without him.

In any case, things are much better now. :)

I just hope we don't go back to that after Daniel and Maclin leave. It would really suck now that we've gotten spoiled.

Sam Hall 10-04-2008 04:39 PM

I don't want to watch, but I will.

Mizzou has a chance to score on every possession.

Aint that the truth. I think next season might be rough, but the recruiting boost should help a ton after that.

I think KU and MU are going to be fine in the next few years... as long as Mangino's heart doesn't explode... we are getting the recruits that neither team got back in the day.

This is why this shit is so fun now.

You're talking as if this is a "nothing to gain - everything to lose" game for Mizzou.

Agreed. It's so much better when your rivals aren't a bunch of cupcakes.

And no smack here (mostly), but Mangino needs to get his gut stapled. He's likely to keel over if KU throws a pick in a huge game.

I have pride. Look at my post on the first page about tradition. I just don't think the game will be close. The home field won't matter because Mizzou's talent will rise.

Atta boy.

Freeman looked good today. He would have looked better if his receivers would actually receive, though. Seemed like every time I peeked at the game, a KSU receiver had a pass bounce right off their hands.
