This is kind of what that option would mean to me but as an alternative you could take everyone with 10 or more votes and put them in next years election. That way you got the top n00bs of 2008 with the n00b class of 2009.

The criteria is not that tough based on winners from the past. There are a few here that are not bad posters, this time we have none that post every single thought they have, or post 600 posts a day rather they can add value or not so I guess that is the problem.
