Me too. Next weekend is the best football weekend of the year IMO. Final 8 teams going at it.

RINGLEADER 01-04-2009 12:49 PM

Strange that the Ravens are putting it in the air so much.

Flacco when he throws more than 25 times: 3-5.

More than 30 times: 0-3.

milkman 01-04-2009 12:51 PM

Ray Ray should have gotten flagged for helmet to helmet.

DrRyan 01-04-2009 12:51 PM

Damn, I would love to see Terrell Suggs in Red and Gold next season!

Pennington just got roasted

Basileus777 01-04-2009 12:53 PM

Horrible pick by Pennington.

cdcox 01-04-2009 12:53 PM

Way to go, Chad.

Frazod 01-04-2009 12:54 PM

Horrible pick by Pennington. :shake:

They threw exactly 25 times in last two wins over Cowboys and Jags.

milkman 01-04-2009 12:54 PM

Pennington made a bad decision there.

He'd be the perfect kind of FA acquisition. Someone young and ascending like Jared Allen.

Instead we'll probably end up with someone like Jevon Kearse.

My thoughts exactly about Matt Stafford

Those stats are pretty much worthless. Almost every team in the league has a better record when they throw the ball less. Throwing the ball more is an effect of losing, not necessarily a cause. If you are down you are forced to throw the ball.

That jersey would be off the shelf and in my closet in a hurry. That is if Herm is gone. Only then will I buy merchandise.

Basileus777 01-04-2009 12:57 PM

WTF was that?

RINGLEADER 01-04-2009 12:57 PM

That was a stupid play...if you're going to run it up the middle use your RB...

That would be the Ravens outsmarting themselves.

RJ 01-04-2009 12:58 PM

Koch is a helluva punter, he's been doing that all season.

milkman 01-04-2009 12:58 PM

So that's what good special teams play looks like.

Frazod 01-04-2009 12:59 PM

Fantasic special teams play on that punt. If that was us, it would have bounced into the endzone and the player would have landed on his head.

Don't disagree. That's why he's had a lot of success this year -- he has a defense that keeps the team ahead. Just saying that today it seems to be a cause.

Chiefs would never have had a player in position to make that play...but knowing our special teams even if we DID get a guy down there to knock the ball back it would have undoubtedly bounced off another Chiefs player back into the end zone.

cdcox 01-04-2009 01:03 PM

Colquitt might only be the 4th best punter in the AFC.

DaFace 01-04-2009 01:04 PM

For some reason, I'm having a lot of trouble caring about this game.

smittysbar 01-04-2009 01:04 PM

milkman 01-04-2009 01:07 PM

Who's the rookie QB in this game?

Bugeater 01-04-2009 01:08 PM

Wow, Penny was way off target on that one.

luv 01-04-2009 01:08 PM

Nice.

kcxiv 01-04-2009 01:08 PM

Wish Chiefs had a good defense. GOod defense, take less chances on offense, make your QB look good doing hardly nothing and get some nice wins.

Charles pissed down his leg in a similar situation recently. Should have downed the ball at the one; instead, he ended up batting it into the endzone himself. It was a nice little microcosm of our epic failure of a season. :banghead:

Hammock Parties 01-04-2009 01:08 PM

Pennington is a joke.

tk13 01-04-2009 01:08 PM

Ed Reed is amazing. I really enjoy watching him play about as much as any player in football, offense or defense. I really want to argue that he may truly have played better than anyone else in football this year.

kcpasco 01-04-2009 01:09 PM

Is there anymore of a badass then Ed Reed?

Yes. I wish the Chiefs had that kind of player in center field.

Taylor Mays please.

RJ 01-04-2009 01:09 PM

I wish the Chiefs had an Ed Reed. Love that guy.

The Giants signed Rich Scanlon so there is 1 person who is more badass than Reed left in the playoffs.:D

smittysbar 01-04-2009 01:11 PM

cdcox 01-04-2009 01:12 PM

Is that what Sanders was doing in all those games he missed? For all the hype Sanders gets for being a glorified linebacker, the dude has missed half the games in his career.

But seriously, it will be a crime if Reed isn't a first ballot HOFer. Safeties are already screwed by the hall, but Reed better make it.

Bob Sanders is the most overrated safety in the game. Ed Reed is the best in the game right now

unothadeal 01-04-2009 01:16 PM

How many TD's does Reed have this year? I bet it's more than LJ has.

cdcox 01-04-2009 01:17 PM

Carl Peterson screwed the Dolphins up by signing Pennington.

No, he was campaigning for Oboma, he was the reason he won. He also saved a family from a burning building while on the campaign trail, pretty amazing really

I recently found out that I went to the same highschool as Rich Scanlon. Scanlon must be such a badass that everyone was afraid to mention his name.

They don't rank officials on the effects of their calls - only whether they got it right or not. Just because his blunder gained national attention doesn't mean that he's performed poorly overall this season.
