Mr. Arrowhead 06-29-2009 09:04 PM

the thing that i was most impressed with by Luke tonight was he didnt let the walks affect him like they usually do.

DeezNutz 06-29-2009 09:06 PM

Hochevar showing some heart. But I'm not betting on a 2:1 ratio of BB:K.

He has a lower K ratio than Banny, that's shitty.....

in other news lincecum dominating STL tonight...

Atleast we can hope hochy can be a future 12-15 game winner

Sure-Oz 06-29-2009 09:08 PM

luke hochevar is better than sidney ponson.
paul splitorff is better than frank white.
joakim soria is better than everyone in the world.

WTF?

"i guarantee you he may get this call" -- frank white

DeezNutz 06-29-2009 09:26 PM

White has the occasional stupid moment, but he's also been very insightful more times than not, IMO. I've enjoyed his contributions.

all he does is state the blatantly obvious and chuckle like a jackass the entire game. he spends at least one hour of every broadcast chuckling.

As one example, I thought he made some great points when Teahen didn't field the ball cleanly early in the game and AC wasn't able to complete the double play. Pointed out that AC was opening his hips too early and should have cleared the bag on that throw.

Oh, what the **** ever. He's not a trained broadcaster, but he gives me more than enough good commentary each game to justify his being in the booth.

I think yoi better get used to Frank. The season's half over and I think if Paul was coming back he would have done so by now.

I think they'll try to find a replacement (permanent) for Split during the offseason. I don't think it will be BMac (I'm sure Dayton & Trey do not want him arounf the team - drinking and womanizing rumors). Leslie Brett reportedly will not let George do something like that all of the kids are out of high school (his youngest will be an 8th grader this fall).
