As I think about it, there are quite a number of similarities between Priest and Charles, Mr. milkman. Hasn't he been working out with Holmes this off-season? Seems like I read that somewhere.
Anyway, Priest was a surprise to everybody. Including, probably, himself to some degree. He had the benefit of a tremendous offensive line and a great fullback during his peak years with us. What Priest accomplished was even more impressive considering his unremarkable entry into the NFL. If Charles can accomplish half of what Priest did, he would have had a good career. The bottom line for me, right now, is that he's a player who wants to play and play well for the Chiefs. That, in and of itself, is refreshing after all this Waters, Gonzo, LJ crap we've been hearing for so long. FAX |

One is Charles, and the other is Priest. Which is which. |

LJ's worth a 6th rounder this year, tops. Next year, he'll be 31 years old. The Chiefs would be lucky to get a sixer of PBR for him. |

Damn, you're right. I should have read the story below the pic. |

It will be interesting to see how his body changes now that he is conditioning solely for football, and as I said earlier, all that aside, it's vision and patience that made Priest what he was, and Charles showed those qualities at Texas. |

I highly doubt, however, that he'll ever have the same power in his legs that Priest had, but as I said, he is faster, and once he gets into the second level, he will be much more difficult to catch than Priest was. In some ways I see strong similarities, in others, a great difference. |
