I think the Raiders will pick him up

Chargers wont take him, he's just like LT at the end of his career. I'm betting Eagles as worst case scenario for us for him moving on to a team that will get to the playoffs.

He can be their wrecking ball on short yardage, because LT isn't the same guy he used to be. Especially if they are in a playoff chase.

LJ a wrecking ball? I guess if the chargers need 2.5 yards or less.....then he'll be good.

KChiefsQT 11-09-2009 10:28 AM

Good! Teach that lil ****er a lesson. I'm sooooo glad he didn't break Holmes's record, so close... but no cigar. :D

He's the wrecking ball on 3rd and 2 or less. :D

The point is the Chargers have an undersized Sproles and a winding down LT. They could probably put him to good use.

Hmmm, a cigar sounds good right about now. What better way to celebrate LJ's passing than to sit back, smile, and chomp down on a nice cigar.

LaChapelle 11-09-2009 10:30 AM

THis is as good or better than a Chiefs win.

Mr. Kansasski 11-09-2009 10:30 AM

Anyone know how I can get ahold of Larry. I need someone to work in my warehouse and I am willing to pay $5 and hour.

You might try giving him directions, but he still won't be able to find his way there.

38yrsfan 11-09-2009 10:33 AM

Oh yeah, we all know that when players leave the Chiefs their career is over, no wait ...

I'm NOT a fan of LJ, BUT... LJ hasn't been utilized correctly since 2005.

I bet he goes to a new team and flourishes under a O-coordinator that knows not to run him up the middle on every first down.

Any see Larry out this morning trading in his Maybach for a used Mercury Sable??

Iowanian 11-09-2009 11:17 AM

I kinda feel the need to write the Larry Johnson rap
it's a song about a whining soft bitch who has played like crap
He'll crack a woman's head with a gun or his hand
spitting drinks in bitches faces makes him feel like a man
His feet move like he's wearing cement shoes
His last exit from Arrowhead should be met with boos.

Johnson came to KC wanting the Hall of Fame
Now his ass is on a bus with the walk of shame
"hey larry this is ray" "whats' this all about"
"bring your playbook, we're tired of your ass now get the F out"

He's got gaurenteed money coming his way. Another team will pick him up and he will start for a MUCH better team than the Chiefs.
Things will only get better for LJ.

So no... I don't see him trading in his Maybach.

Not happening. The dude just got all his bonus handed to him once they terminated his contract. He is more likely out there somewhere having his car platinum plated right now.

edit:

Or maybe plated in cake...

Wow....at least we can be proud our front office has integrity. Too bad this guy will probably be rewarded for his bad behavior...

Iowanian 11-09-2009 11:38 AM

If Larry Johnson were any slower to the hole, he'd need a viagra and an hours notice.

Christofire 11-09-2009 11:43 AM

If he goes to a team with a good offensive line, I won't be surprised if he starts getting 4+ yards a pop.

Iowanian 11-09-2009 11:44 AM

Johnson could still put up good numbers if the hole is open long enough to get a rascal scooter through to the 2nd level when he hits the turbo.

THIS!

I don't care if he goes to the Raiders and burns us for 150 yards a game. It would have been a disgrace to see him in a Chiefs uniform again. We lose a game, we lose a game. But, to allow such a low caliber of person that has trashed the KC fans back into that uniform? I'd have to went postal.

Larry seems the type to blow his wad on nonsensical garbabe so it makes perfect sense to see him at Hy-Vee stocking up on Hot Pockets. And no team will take this cancerous turd.

kaplin42 11-09-2009 12:01 PM

one more of king carl's **** ups out the door. good riddance. just a shame we couldnt get anything for him and some other team is gonna pick him up for free.

Red Dawg 11-09-2009 12:02 PM

It sucvks we didn't get anything for him but he is such an asshole. Non team player to the max. He will do good for a team that can block. The Pats or Denver will gobble him up.

I've felt this way then entire time as well. I don't care if he goes to a good team and wins a superbowl. I mean it would be a sad sight to see but the point is I didn't want to see him wearing red and gold ever again. And now he won't. So that my friends is a victory in itself.

Makes them look bad for taking a chance on LJ. King Carl would never admit mistakes.

Also  for Clark Hunt. He had to okay a move like this that makes him pay out money and get nothing in return, except a feeling of doing the right thing.

He was the one guy on the team that had the nerve to speak out about Haley's ineptitude. Who's gonna do it now?

BigChiefFan 11-09-2009 12:43 PM

I really thought a new regime would do him some good, but he went back to his prima donna ways once the losses started mounting. I feel relieved that he is no longer part of the team. He's been too much of a distraction and doesn't understand the concept of TEAM.

I'm slightly surprised by the move, but it goes to show that the organization means business and NOBODY is above the team. I think this move should get some players attention and make all realize their are accountabilty for their actions. I commend the front office for a difficult decision to contend with and doing what's right for the team, regardless of the steep price to pay.
