I am about 40 miles from work. It takes anywhere form 45 minutes to an hour depending on if I am working days or nights, weekends or weekdays. Weekday nights are the worse.

20 minutes to work. all gravel/blacktop roads.

where is that?
sounds relaxing...nice way to unwind before getting home.

RaiderH8r 01-20-2010 10:05 AM

6.6 miles. Average day is 45 minutes but in a rain storm can get up to 2 hours. That's right, some days I could walk home and do it faster than I drive. My Life is Office Space.

n.e. missouri. very rural.
usually a very nice drive to and from. (pretty shitty this morning w/the ice though.)
my job's located outside a small town where there's more cattle than people.
my home is 1/2 mile from the nearest neighbor.
i like it.
sec

Bweb 01-20-2010 10:44 AM

15 mins from home to office. However, 3 miles of that is down our county (gravel/dirt) road/trail. If snow or really wet maybe as long as 20 mins! :)

Inspector 01-20-2010 10:48 AM

If I go into the office: 15 - 20 minutes.

If I work from the home office: 15 - 20 seconds.

I used to live in Lexington MO. an commuted 51 miles each way to work. Spent about 2 hours or more every day sitting in the car. One of the reasons I had to sell our historic home and move back to the city.

I am envious.
Like to have a setup like that one day.

We have a 38 car passenger ferry thats tied up due to highwinds/waves quite a lot.
Anything I could afford wouldn't be able to handel 5 miles of OPEN ATLANTIC Ocean.
You go past us, and it's Hello England

Wife was born and raised here,
came for a visit 8 years ago, and thought it would be a great place to "start life all over after my divorce"
And it was .
No one knew me, didn't know them.
The 8 yers adjusting just kinda happened.
No artifacts, but I did step in dog chit this morning taking out the garbage.

The Franchise 01-22-2010 11:48 AM

Around 30 minutes each way unless it's Monday or Friday. If it's Monday it takes forever to get to work because people apparently forget how to drive over the weekend. And if it's Friday...it takes longer to get home because apparently everyone wants to go home at the same time as me. Stupid California drivers.
