I apologize to those in this thread, and frankly anywhere on the Planet, where I have come off as "condescending". Truly, I've never thought of myself that way. But hearing it from Dane of all people, a person who I have viewed as the King Of Condescension since I came here, really gets me thinking.

This place has a way of changing people. Sometimes I come on here and I read something that pushes my buttons (probably by design) and I react. I'm human. I truly strive to be decent to people out here, but every now and then, I come a across a post or a poster (in this case Dane) who I just obviously do not connect with in a positive way. I can't believe I got drawn into a pissing match with him. I usually point and laugh at the "web fights" that go on out here.

Most things in DC wind up little more than personal attacks, which is a shame. There is a lot of knowledge and life experience here, one of the reasons I stick around.

I know I have my faults. I apologize to those I've offended, even you Dane.

It's the fact that many self-proclaimed Christians in this forum act anything but.

They attack, name call and worse.

I've gone through it all, from being raised Catholic, going to CCD and Catholic school, later moving on and seriously researching other religions before finally realizing late in life that I'm a Deist.

The bottom line is hypocrisy. People can say and do whatever they want in their lives and can attack me and flip me shit at will. I don't care.

BUT, if you claim you're a Christian, yet go out of your way to insult me at every turn, I'd say you're a hypocrite and deserve to be called out. That behavior is VERY un-Christ-like, at least in my studies.

And furthermore, defending others for non-Christian beliefs doesn't make me Anti-Christian. It makes me tolerant of others, especially when I don't share any of the same beliefs, regardless of individual religions and faith.

We could spend a month on this subject but I'll just leave it at this, IMO most people respond according to what issues they have going on and where they are at in their journey more than their relgious affiliation. If your saying you have an issue with people using their religion as a weapon I would concur. If you see an area they need to work on as hypocracy I would regress and reconsider.

1. I have met some great people on here and am able to exchange ideas and test some of my own beliefs.

2. Talk about the Chiefs.

3. Talk about sports in general.

There are a lot of meatheads on here though as there are in life in general. Getting all caught up in their madness is a waste of my time. The whole pitbull dealio is where the lights went on for me. I am not beyond the occasional bitch slap these days though. They can still be fun.
