Okay guys, I'm not one to usually complain about refs, but this is absolutely ****ing ridiculous.

First I'd like to say the Kings actually aren't playing well at all right now and this losing stretch they're on (1-5 last 6 if they lose this game) is mostly from them not playing well and not making good decisions.

However, this referee/review bullshit they have experienced in Canada is ****ing unbelievable. The same shit happened last year in Montreal. Last game they had a reviewable goal at the end of the game where the call on the ice was a redirected puck w/ a high stick. You could TOTALLY tell on the replay's that the stick was well below the crossbar, and they sent the review to Toronto, spent 10 minutes and came back and said "The call stands" and there was 3 seconds left in the game. Ottawa wins 3-2. Plus another awful call that disallowed a Kings goal earlier in that same game. Today there's already been a handful of non-calls on Montreal penalties and an absolutely ridiculous one on a Montreal player interfering with the LA goaltender.

Now I only watch Kings games, but I usually watch every one, and it's ALWAYS like this in Canada. Do these Canadian teams just get this treatment in every single home game against a US team? I can't imagine they don't. If they do it's ****ing bullshit and something should be done.

WebGem 12-09-2010 09:51 PM

A review is going on right now in LA, and it's against a Canada team. Can't wait for this ****job. No way this Calgary goal should count.

All reviews in the NHL are done at some office in Toronto, not by anyone at the venue of the game. Somehow, every time a Canadian team is involved they catch a break if at all possible. That one was a little too ridiculous to call in favor of Calgary though.

MMXcalibur 12-10-2010 01:13 AM

Penguins, winners of 11 in a row. Good lord.
Also, that Crosby guy sucks...the Pens should probably think about trading him.

This has to be the first time that both the Penguins and Chiefs are doing well. I don't know what the hell to do.

Crosby is unleashing hell right now. Shame that Staal can't get healthy. He's easily a top line center anywhere else.

Flyers beat the Leafs tonight 4-1. Thankfully they were able to hold on to this 4-1 lead, after blowing a 4-1 lead to the Sharks the night before.

Nice. Avs/Hawks are having a defensive battle so far. 6 goals in the 1st period so far. 3-3

WebGem 12-13-2010 08:55 PM

Jonathan Quick has 48 saves now, still shutting out the Wings. This is crazy because of what he did last game. He fucked up big time last game.

That was Quick last game. Those were the Wilds 2 goals, and it was 2-2 going into OT and Minnesota won. Getting 50 saves against the Red Wings makes up for it though. :D

WebGem 12-23-2010 11:07 PM

The Kings really need this game. Winning the Pacific is gonna be pretty tough now that SJ seems to be coming to life finally. I'm hoping Dallas drops off a bit and it comes down to LA and SJ.

Now that the season is partially done, any early SCF predictions?

Real prediction: Pens > wings

Homer prediction: Kings > Pens

Na, oddly that doesn't have much to do with it. I'm from Denver, but grew up in Kansas. I became a fan when my wife (then girlfriend) got me into hockey back in college. We moved out here, I needed a local team to support, so that only strengthened it.

I honestly have no idea why morph is an Avs fan (he's from KC).

No No I was saying them being from the same city as the Donks is part of the reason I hate them. I don't hate the Avs as much as I do the red wings or stars. I just hated them back in the day because they were so good and they ended the Kings awesome run in 2001.

Well I on the other hand am very excited about sports right about now. Being a Chiefs, Knicks, Kings and Blue Jays (diverse, I know - but I grew up in AZ and hated all the teams so I had to throw darts at a map in the mid 1990s) fan my teams combine for a total of 1 playoff win (Kings-Wings series 2001) since the summer of 2000. It's been a rough decade considering how big of a sports fan I am.

At least you got that cup there in that picture.

That's the one team that I have the best reason for liking. I liked all my other teams since the mid 90s, but I never had a baseball team until 1999. My best friend from HS told me I needed one, so I told him whoever loses next on Sportscenter (which was on at the time) is my new team. Tigers > Jays and boom I got addicted, FAST. I loved Billy Koch and Delgado back then.

It's sort of like being a Royals fan because there's like a 0% chance of making the playoffs every year, except for the fact the Blue Jays are actually pretty good sometimes.

LMAO Dude, eventually the Blue Jays will get their turn again. Their ownership is the wealthiest in baseball but is also one of the cheapest. Drabek's going to make that rotation even more awesome.

Being a Jays fan I should hate the Yankees, but I actually sort of like them. It's due to the fact that I HATE THE RED SOX SOOOOOOOO MUCH. It's not even healthy how much I hate that team. I usually start rooting for NYY come July/August. Last year I got a break and didn't have to root much against Boston but after this offseason I'm afraid I'm going to again. Both time those scumbags won the WS I seriously didn't watch a pitch the entire series. I cannot stand them.

I do that too. I listen to the Fan (WFAN - NY radio station) almost every day and follow most NY teams because I listen to it all the time. I don't really have a reason for listening to the channel other than I'm a Knicks fan, but I started listening to it after the Knicks started sucking and they're not mentioned that often. Following NYG/NYJ during football and listening to their fans all week is pretty fun, but it makes me hate them and I really hope the Jets don't end up eliminating the Chiefs in the playoffs.

Very. You should listen to its internet feed sometime. Week long conversations about strength and conditioning coaches and foot fetishes is where it's at in sports radio.

Honestly though the Giants fans seem pretty confident they can go into GB and win on Sunday, and also with a rematch against Philly. So we'll see I guess. The Jets fans though are out of their ****ing minds. They all say they "really want" a rematch with the Patriots in the playoffs. ROFL Yeah when a team rapes you by 42 in a huge game in prime time that's a very good thing to hope for!

Yeah I wanted to go this year but I got laid off again recently. I just got another job. Hopefully next season I'll go back out for a few games! I also want to see a Home/away game between the Ducks & Kings. Never been to the Honda Center.

LOL!!!!!

I was really worried about this game coming in. It's @SJ. It was 0-0 after 2 periods. THen it was 2-0 Kings 3 minutes into the 3rd, and now it's 3-0 with 13:00 left.
