Im sorry the Raiders have sucked nine strait years. Give McFadden some more Ice and a handful of dirt already. |
You haven't won a playoff game since Joe Montana... how old is he now 60?
|
im a chiefs fan, but we have absolutely 0 ****ing anything when it comes to play off smack talk. We got nothing. zilch nada. nil.

NO AFCW team can talk smaq about the post season. If you haven't won a play off game and a SB in 5 yrs, you are irrelevant.

F'ing strange. I think Chicago and New England will do the Donks in though. Chicago will win 9-3 and the Pats will win 19-10. And when the Raiders stomp San Diego and KC, that'll lock up the division. |
So, this week we have...
Oakland (7-4) at the Dolphins (3-8) Broncos (6-5) at the Vikings (2-9) Raiders/Dolphins The Dolphins are a weird team, having won 3 of their last 4... and they very well could have beaten the Cowboys last week. They've become a difficult team to project... if you look at their games with CLE, DEN and DAL - they maybe could have had 3 more wins. The Raiders likely won't have McFadden back, but they've been playing well. Will the trip to Florida be kind to them this week? The Raiders have won their last 3 games, but they're still a bit of a mystery and by no means are a lock. I expect them to win, but it should be a tough game and a loss would not be surprising to me simply because of how well Miami has played and Oakland likely will not have McFadden. Broncos/Vikings I won't spend much time on Denver, you guys know what's going on there... the key to me during this stretch of 5-1 is the fact that they are 4-0 on the road (MIA, OAK, KC, SD). The Vikings are experiencing some issues with Peterson - he may be back this week, but still isn't practicing. The Vikings defense has some playmakers, but they've broken down quite a bit. It will be interesting to see how they attack the Broncos. The big key here to me is whether or not Peterson plays, that offense really needs him as they're young and inexperienced without him and truly lack a game breaker. I think the Broncos can get after Ponder early and often, forcing this into another potential snoozer for the most part. Overall... I think Denver and Oakland end up with a tied record of 7-5 after this week, giving Denver the division lead on tiebreakers. Imagine that one... And, then it's Oakland @ Green Bay with Denver hosting the Bears in week 14. This is a very critical week for Oakland. |
And, it's official... Adrian Peterson has been ruled out for this week.
That's a pretty huge deal in Denver's favor. Go Dolphins. |

So, here we are...
Broncos 7-5 / 3-2 div - currently hold the tiebreakers over OAK Raiders 7-5 / 2-2 div Raiders remaining: @ GBP / DET / @ KCC / SDC Broncos remaining: CHI / NEP / @ BUF / KCC Denver has 3 of their final 4 at home, which is sweet. The Raiders travel to Green Bay this week and then they host the Lions, I dig it. I hope the Broncos don't toy around with the beaten down Bears, that would be a letdown of monumental proportions. The Patriots in 2 weeks... that's huge and after watching Ponder yesterday, the secondary better get ready. |
Four more games to go... but, if the season ended today - Denver would be the #4 seed and hosting #5 Steelers in the WildCard Round.
That's kinda crazy... |
Denver sucks.
|
Boy, if the Raiders don't win the West this year, the Palmer trade will be colossal Fail. Granted, I think the trade is fail anyways....unless you win a Super Bowl, which I don't think happens. But, if they don't even win THIS division? Pathetic.

Things are oddly lining up ... with the injuries to key players on their schedule recently. They have to win next week vs CHI to really make the NE game high profile. |

The Broncos should take care of business versus the Bears. The great thing about Tebow is that he doesn't make mistakes. For all his shortcomings, he has only one INT, I think this season. |
I would laugh so hard if the other teams let the Chiefs win the division. If we beat Denver and Oakland we would have the first tiebreaker.
|
I wouldn't. Unless Orton somehow miraculously recovers and turns into Kurt Warner pt II. That would be sorta cool. But we would still have to draft RG3.

Broncos 7-5 / 3-2 / 6-3 (CHI / Pats / @ Bills / KC) Raiders 7-5 / 2-2 / 5-5 (@ Packers / DET / @KC / SD) Chiefs 5-7 / 2-2 / 3-6 (@Jets / Packers / Raiders / @ Broncos) Chargers 4-7* / 2-3 / 3-5* (@ Jax / Bills / Ravens / @ Lions / @ Raiders) At this point, Denver really controls their own fate and the road to the AFC West title actually goes through Denver with 3 of their 4 remaining games in Denver. Denver has the best divisional record and conference record. I don't know how all the 'common opponents' breaks down at this point, but I bolded what I believe to be are the toughest games left for each team. Denver will very likely be in a position that it hasn't been in for the last several years, favorites in 3 of the last 4 games and playing as the team to beat in December. It's nice for a change... but barring some monumental collapses, I just don't see KC or SD playing anything more than spoiler. Oakland really took a major step back with the beating yesterday against the Dolphins. Worst case, I see ... Denver going 2-2 (likely 3-1 though) Oakland going 2-2 Chiefs going 1-3 (maybe 2-2, doubt it though) Chargers going 2-3 |
So, with 4 games to go.. only 2 games separate worst from first. Which team will crawl out of this lousy division, win the title and advance to the playoffs?
overall / division / conference Broncos 7-5 / 3-2 / 6-3 (CHI / Pats / @ Bills / KC) Raiders 7-5 / 2-2 / 5-5 (@ Packers / DET / @KC / SD) Chiefs 5-7 / 2-2 / 3-6 (@Jets / Packers / Raiders / @ Broncos) Chargers 5-7 / 2-3 / 4-5 ( / Bills / Ravens / @ Lions / @ Raiders) Broncos split with OAK and SD, won first game @ KC. Raiders split with Den, lost to KC, won @ SD KC split with SD, lost to Den, won @ OAK Chargers split with Den, split with KC and lost to OAK San Diego has the worst road to the division title, looking at whom they've lost to within the division and their remaining games. Raiders have a daunting stretch of games ahead of them with @ Packers, the Lions and then @ KC. Chiefs... two tough games coming up @ Jets and then the Packers, followed by 2 Div games. Denver could certainly stumble... they've been living on a prayer at times recently and at some point, they're bound to come up short. They have the most favorable position at this point... but, I'm starting to think that they can stumble here, go 2-2 and still win the division. Granted, likely means a first round exit, but you never know. |
