Thats the thing Milk, that they hurt themselves so early. There is, with the medical tech. we have now, really no reason they should be behind schedule.

BossChief 02-11-2012 03:15 PM

If we sign Orton and a couple other free agents, we could field a top five defense and a top ten offense next year.

Think about that.

If we stick with Cassel, we will be lucky to have a top ten defense and a top 20 offense.

It really does make that much of a difference.

At least in my opinion, it does.

It's exciting to think we get those three back, have good picks in the draft and a pocket full of cash we need to spend on players...and it all gets overlooked because of a ****ing candy wrapper and a shitty quarterback.

O.city 02-11-2012 03:17 PM

Boss you are starting to get me too optimistic about next season.

I'm ready to see it ! Great news!

O.city 02-11-2012 03:20 PM

Imagine this.

On offense we could have a line made up of.

Albert, Grubbs, Hudson, Asamoah, Massie.

Skill players of

Charles, Bowe, baldwin, Moeaki, Breaston, McClusster, Richardson, and a drafted TE for Orton to throw to.

That could be a top 10 offense.

I'm not overlooking it. I've been posting the same stuff over and over again. meccaplanet is too much sometimes.

That actually looks pretty good. I could live with that for a couple of years while we locate and acquire a real quarterback.

Plus, with Berry returning (assuming he's okay) and after bringing in a true nose, the defense could take a step forward. An offense that could start racking up some TOP would help this defense a ton.

Too bad it's a pipe dream.

Far too much hinges on Cassel. I think we're stuck with him. The experts who claim to be "in the know" say we are and I have no reason to doubt it after Daboll's hiring and it's like they say; "For want of a nail, the war was lost."

Titty Meat 02-11-2012 03:37 PM

Hopefully we draft Richardson.

O.city 02-11-2012 03:38 PM

Another offensive weapon I'd like to have is Joe Adams. I'd take him in the third if he makes it that long.

He could be a Desean Jackson type guy.

You can rush back from an ACL, but a better plan, to maximize recovery, would be to take it more slowly.

I would hope that the Chiefs limit the workload on Charles, Berry and Moeaki until the early preseason.

If handled correctly, it's very possible that all 3 could come back 100%, with no issues.

I hope you're right but looking at this list

http://www.footballdocs.com/RB_injury_rule.html

You can't help but question.

O.city 02-11-2012 03:43 PM

Eh alot of those rbs are a little older.

I think/hope Charles is gonna be fine.

Except for Davis. those guys are over 25 years ago, and Davis suffered a stress fracture the season after he tore his ACL.

BossChief 02-11-2012 03:54 PM

Another thing to consider with Charles is that his injury came without contact or pressure to further the damage. The same thing goes for Moeaki.

The one that scares me a bit is Berry.

I hope he didn't make it a lot worse of a tear by going back in...if that is the case, the trainers that let him back in the game should be tarred and feathered.

O.city 02-11-2012 03:57 PM

I think they will likely be fine. It might take a little while but I'm not really worried. Hell they are already all running and cutting now.

I doubt it man. Didn't he tear it when Johnson hit him?

Not when they were injured. The 2 year rule makes sense.

Thats my point.

I think that they should have recognized the injury and not let him back into the game until further tests were done.

It's very possible that he went out with a sprain from the dirty hit by Johnson and completely tore it on that first play he went back in for.

There are severity of tears and I hope he is able to not only return to form, but not lose his elite abilities that make, when paired with his preparation, him a guy that will develop into an elite player.

We need him policing that secondary because he is what could make this defense not just really good...but quite possibly what will emerge as the best defense in the league with a couple more pieces.

Titty Meat 02-11-2012 05:30 PM

That Buffalo game should be entertaining next year.

O.city 02-11-2012 05:31 PM

Kinda hope Johnson stays in Buffalo, so EB can take his head off.

They're all young enough. Priest claims he was faster after his ACL recovery, and if there's one thing that guy could go it's stop and start in a flash.

Besides... what do we get if Charles comes back at 80%? A running back who can get a mere 5.0 YPC instead of 6.4?

The hard part about rollerblading isn't the stress on your knees. The hard part about rollerblading is telling your dad you're gay.

Hopefully when the Chiefs scrubs are running the scout team they'll paint bulls-eyes on the knees of the guy playing the part of Johnson.

RB Charles says he's ahead of schedule with rehab

April 09, 2012 2:34 p.m. - by Bob Gretz

RB Jamaal Charles (knee) on the status of his rehab: “I'm doing hard running right now. When I was down in Pensacola (Florida), Dr. James Andrews, who did my surgery, said I was ahead of schedule. They'll probably be smart about it for OTAs, be smart about me not doing that and they'll probably wait until training camp.”

I'm just glad it looks like he's coming back healthy for now.

Jamaal Charles is kind of like the invulnerability sphere in Doom. You only get God mode for a short amount of time, you better use it on something important like killing a cyberdemon or winning a Super Bowl.

Right now the Chiefs picked up the sphere and are wasting time killing a room full of imps.

ThatRaceCardGuy 04-09-2012 06:50 PM

I would kidnap Grbac so Gannon could start. I would also break Lin Elliott`s legs prior to the 95 season.

Good or bad?

Will he be too comfortable? Too complacent?

Will the succubus ruin his life and his game?
