Does anyone else kind of want Tony G to win a game finally?

I do but I feel like the falcons will have to pull something out of their sleeves big time.

DTLB58 01-08-2012 12:58 PM

Just like the playoff game last year Gonzo doesn't see the ball.

Simply Red 01-08-2012 01:00 PM

DaFace 01-08-2012 01:01 PM

That may be the closest measurement I've seen this year.

Bugeater 01-08-2012 01:01 PM

Not sure why you don't just sneak it but whatever.

Dylan 01-08-2012 01:02 PM

Agree. Didn't we do something like that against the Raiders and come up two yards short?

I wouldn't mind if he dropped the winning TD pass on the last play of the game.

Not really. I would, but after he blew me off with his holy er than now attitude at TC. F*** Him! Then he turns right around and gives his shoes to a blonde. But he told me to get lost after I spent the $ on a new authentic jersey to have
him auto.

signed, still a bit bitter.

Matt Ryan is Peyton Manning if Manning was a game manager.

Falcons need an OL in first round. Probably some dude from Bama or Stanford.

Thats fair. The time I met him he was very gracious, but it sounds like I am in the lucky minority. I never blamed him so much for wanting out of KC as much as the management. IMO they told him they were moving in a new direction and he wasn't in the big picture.

For me, the exact opposite is George Brett. My experiences with him he's been a complete douscher. Sure I respect him as a player and everything but jeez.

Dylan 01-08-2012 01:10 PM

Giants fans wanted HOF Tony G to join the Giants -- stupid Giants organization. Makes me sad.

Sounds like a pretty football-savvy FFL...

LiveSteam 01-08-2012 01:14 PM

hahahahahahahahahahahahahha best punt ever

WilliamTheIrish 01-08-2012 01:16 PM

Honestly, if ATL can keep it right here through the half, considering they failed pretty miserably on those short yardage conversions, they will be right in this.

It's kind of a Marty game, with ATL trying to steal it late.

suzzer99 01-08-2012 01:16 PM

Man announcers are so dumb. Can someone explain to me why that was "a really got timeout by Couglin"?

The way things played out, with Jones going OOB, he would have gotten the punt at 1:53 instead of 1:58. Not worth a TO. Now maybe the Falcons play it differently after the 2 min. warning. But you can always take your TO then.

Dylan 01-08-2012 01:17 PM

Jesus, I hate Manningham! he could have fought for that ball

I think he's gone after this season .... i think ....

Titty Meat 01-08-2012 01:17 PM

The playoffs have been pretty boring so far.

Setsuna 01-08-2012 01:17 PM

AWFUL spot.

WilliamTheIrish 01-08-2012 01:19 PM

Good defensive stand. Maybe they can maneuver for a 3 run HR to bring the tying run into the on deck circle.

Well that year I came in 2nd and 3rd in over half my leagues. They were savvy, but they wanted the proven WRs.

O.city 01-08-2012 01:20 PM

The Giants are a scary team right now. Eli is hott and their dline is dominating the Falcons.

Ryan needs to do more of that. Send TG right down the seam. Or have him sit down 5 yards upfield.

stonedstooge 01-08-2012 01:21 PM

Ryan with a Casshole slide

Setsuna 01-08-2012 01:21 PM

Is Hailey or Herm managing the clock for the Falcons?

suzzer99 01-08-2012 01:22 PM

That is absolutely inexcusably bad coaching. How can this happen week after week in the NFL and no one ever seems to care?

Dylan 01-08-2012 01:22 PM

terrible time management by Atlanta

You're probably right. I have sort of a reverse midas touch about these things.

Those last sequences by the Giants and Falcons make me depressed to be alive.

Going to play Skyirm for a bit.

O.city 01-08-2012 01:24 PM

That was an abortion of a 2 minute drill. With three timeouts.

NFL coaches are so afraid that their qb will make a mistake that they can't get out of their own way.

No doubt man. Money is just being wasted paying these incompetent coaches but it doesn't matter because it is at our expense, the idiot fans giving them money.

suzzer99 01-08-2012 01:29 PM

Matt Ryan looks like crap as well. He should have ran out of bounds, and should have called out when he didn't.

Pasta Little Brioni 01-08-2012 01:31 PM

Hilarious. See posts this week sucking off Mike Smith...horrible clock management and punting on a 4th and less than a yard in opponents territory.

Gone are the days of the Shula's and Walsh's. On average, the coaching at today's level seems to be despicable in its attention to things like clock management. I can only hope this is just a downcycle before we have some good coaches again.

My hypothesis is because the coaching profession has become such a good-ole-boy profession that the cream can't rise to the top because of all the associations and barriers for the top minds coming up. The sons and relatives of good/great coaches in the past are the ones that get all the preference for the big jobs today.

Also, I think it's time for the NFL to hire full-time referees

Dylan 01-08-2012 01:40 PM

please don't be hurt, JPP

kill me!

i die!

suzzer99 01-08-2012 01:44 PM

This offensive performance is a perfect example of what happens when a QB can't get untracked. The receivers start dropping balls, coaches start panicking, everyone starts pressing.

I think we all know what it looks like.

Dylan 01-08-2012 01:48 PM

Suzzer99: the Refs suck big time -- "There is no call for holding... " J.C. Devin Thomas got tackled!

O.city 01-08-2012 01:48 PM

Falcons dline is getting dominated.

Very strange to see a NY team getting the treatment.

stonedstooge 01-08-2012 01:56 PM

I would rather see the non-calls than other games where fouls help determine the outcome

MahiMike 01-08-2012 01:56 PM

2 things:

Weekend's most boring game
Matt Cassel's arm is stronger than Matt Ryan. Not impressed.

ShowtimeSBMVP 01-08-2012 01:58 PM

Anyone think the Falcons are asking themselves why did we do it

The Falcons really coveted a receiver in the first round because they were eager to move up from the 27th spot. It was a blockbuster deal. In exchange for getting the sixth pick, Atlanta gave the Browns five -- five! -- draft picks: their 1st- (27th overall), second- (59th) and fourth-round (124th) picks this year and their first- and fourth-round picks in 2012.

true ... doing it on big plays too.

no forward progress cost them a big 1st down
BS holding cost them a big play
no pass interference

i'm sure there are a few more ... weird.
