Buck got it right, I don't expect the Camarrowheads to understand, they listen to Ratt and down pinwheel sandwichs and then polish off Little Debbs by the box. :)

This is so ****ing gay. What percentage of CP is women? I'd guess about 80% based on this thread.
Life expectancy and standards of living are higher than they've ever been in this country, while the amount of sugar (and bad shit in general) we consume is also at an all time high. Sugar isn't going to kill us. Holy shit, you guys are ****ing gay. Wow. |

Im eating sugar right out of the box and washing it down with HFCS. :) |

I eat cheese. Same I eat Veggies, one serving usually has around 2-5 net carbs. I eat eggs. One has 1 carb. I eat almonds, one serving has 2-3 net carbs. Butter and sour cream have minimal carbs. That's about the gist of it. |

So...Buck has a nice history of hilarious threads and posts from being completely out of control. He loses a little weight and now here is here wagging his finger to everyone telling them how to live their lives.

It's great that you have lost the weight- but seriously - You didn't get to 300+ pounds overnight. Let people live how they want to live. Telling people to stop eating sugar is just plain stupid.

But at least watch the video. I doubt anyone in here arguing against me did. |

It isn't all about body weight though.
Give me a chubby, active person over a skinny, non-active person. Diet is just part of it. Activity can help manage blood glucose, cholesterol and BP as well. |
Sugar, yes. Carbs, too. Pop...should be gone, if you are really serious.
The real final "step" is portion-control. The key is "moderation." I've kept 50 off for two years....working on another 20 or so this year. Depending on your lifestyle, you don't need three (full meals) squares a day. If you want to lose weight, for most it's simple...cut calories, and increase activity. PERIOD. You do both of those, you will lose weight. The problem comes with the plateaus. If you hit one...you need to increase activity, or cut calories. One or the other. It's that simple. Anything that says otherwise is bullshit (disregarding unusual circumstances.) It ain't rocket science. |
All I know is, if I quit drinking Coke and eating Oreos and get hit by a milk truck or fall into a pit of hot molten magma (or whatever might kill ya...the possibilities are endless...get stabbed in the eye by a 6 year old with a crayon, choke on a carrot, etc) the next year, that would make it entirely pointless.

How is this, everyone I know that has given up sugar has lost weight. Most of them fall off at some point. If you have a medical condition, or a compulsive/addictive eater, than give it up. If you are really obese, you will feel better when you lose lots of weight, no matter how you do it. What works best for me is lifting weights with some cardio, and portion management. I lost 45 pounds last year this way and feel pretty damn good. Without carbs I often don't get full, so I'll take my sugar/poison if that is what it takes to not be a fat ass.

I'm surprised you don't recognize that. Oh yes, it's your historic PERSONAL problem with Buck that's caused you to create the post, that's right, it IS pretty obvious to us who know the past. I started to wonder why you weren't supporting it, your being the ambassador of common-sense, way to give him hell. You don't look like the shmuck here at all. |

I have nothing but praise that you are taking control and getting your weight under control. My point is that was your choice to try and become more healthy, and while making helpful suggestions to other isn't a bad thing, setting out on the war against sugar isn't likely to yield much success. |
One time Zach and I got in a fight. I can't even remember what about. The next day I apologized to him and asked him if we could forget about it. He didn't reply. I don't really give a shit what he has to say, ever since then.

Just remember ANYTHING can be toxic, Water included.

I've been juicing vegetables and fruit for the last couple of weeks. I love it. I think adding massive amounts of fresh veggie juice to your diet will give you the nutrients you need to be healthy... I've eliminated all sugars... although, I do have a cheat day every 7-10 days or so...
I juice primarily: Cucumbers Celery Spinach Kale Carrots Ginger Apples Parsley Tomatoes Pears Pineapples Grapefruits etc... and I grab them from http://doortodoororganics.com or the local farmer's market. I've been working out and eating healthy for about 45 days and down around 30lbs. |
And Brock, I'm really surprised that you wouldn't give this a crack, I got to know you a little bit in the fitness thread, and I know you like science, working out and have discipline. I just don't see the problem with Buck trying to help with something that's proven to help you. We all probably eat too much sugar, I know I did. But i'm working on it, after today.

Look, I'm sure that when you're 300 ****ing pounds cutting sugar helps lose weight. SUGAR MAKES YOU FAT. That's not new. Every idiot should know that. It's a great strategy to lose weight.
However when you're 175 pounds and have a 32 inch waist, I think I can eat some sweets without the fear of a sudden onset of diabetes. I don't want to lose weight. Not everyone is overweight. |

Personally, I don't do the juice thing. I just eat the whole fruits and vegetables. I'm very conscious about fiber consumption, and simply eating an apple instead of drinking its juice is a fantastic and easy way to make a difference. Fiber ain't just for breakfast. That being said, you've got an excellent story. I'm not going to be an asshole like Buck and tell you to stop juicing just because I know what works for me. (Only jerkin yer chain, Buck) |

I've done 120 hours in a row with juice only... then I went to juice and food... now I'm back to another 10 days or so of just veggie juice... I'll clean out a shitload of toxins this way. If you haven't seen "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" it's goes over this stuff. http://www.hulu.com/watch/289122/fat...nd-nearly-dead Great documentary. |

Anyone ever tried chocolates/candies with that new sugar alcohol ?
I ate a package of peanut butter cups with that stuff in it and nearly shit myself out 30 mins later. I guess this sugar alcohol is alot like Olestra, your body can't digest it so it just slides on back out. |
