Thats all true but I'd still do it. At least with Sanchez, there MIGHT be hope for improvement. Cassel has 100% reached his full potential. But NYJ wouldn't even entertain that trade which proves that he's a more valuable QB than Cassel, even if it isn't by much.

He hasn't improved at all his whole career, what makes you think he'll improve now?

How shitty do you have to be that you're taken off the field for Tebow?

At this point, I'm just hoping at least we can get an over the hill great QB. With maybe 2 years left or something. I mean if they refuse to draft a guy, rather have a washed up great with a little left in the tank. Better than wastin our current talent with shitty Cassel.

How would CP react if Cassel had 69 yards halfway into the 4th quarter? With 41 yards coming on one play.

BigMeatballDave 09-24-2012 09:19 PM

Warner never did shit in the NFL until his late 20s.

It would never happen, but I'd still do it.

I loathe Kasl so much.

I don't care if he dies, retires, whatever. He needs to get the **** away from my team.

I don't think he deserves to die lol. He's a good guy and seems like a good teammate and all that. He just sucks as a starting QB in the NFL. It's all on Pioli. He's the one that deserves to get aids and die lmao

Hell, he made a Casselesque INT on this drive. He's lucky the refs are so incompetent they keep bailing him out. The personal foul was BS. The pass interference was BS...

In all honesty, Clay will bitch about how Allen Bailey sucks, is an absolute bust and did absolutely nothing to contribute to Justin Houston having the best game of his career, despite lining up right next to him, getting a decent pocket push, and consistently obtaining a double team.

Luck?

Wish we had Russell Wilson's refs.

Luck is a tipped pass going 60 yards for a TD.

Nothing lucky about refs giving you the game.

I've changed my mind. I'm sold. Wilson is the first QB in the history of the game to throw an INT and win the game. Sign him up.

Watch the game and see how he lets Houston get 1 on 1 with the RT.
Or how Bailey being there provides push that doesn't let Drew step up in the pocket. Just because it doesn't count as a pressure doesn't mean it isn't valuable.

ROFL

Tate has all of 36 more receiving yards in his career than McCluster.

By that logic Tate is better than Frank Gore because since he has been in the league he has more receiving yards than Gore. After all, as a true WR Tate is better.

Yeah - uh, is it okay to point out that Russell Wilson isn't actually that good?

I mean yeah, he's better than Matt Cassel, but the Hawks should be 1-2 right now and used their defense and special teams to dominate the Cowboys, not their offense.

Russell Wilson is being considered a deity around here because he picked on Jalil Brown. Well shit - I'm fairly certain even KU could drive the ball against Jalil Brown.

I've watched all 3 Seahawks games so far this year and I'm just not impressed by Wilson at all. He's been bailed out by 100 different things to this point.

If Russell Wilson is your QB, you're in marginally better shape than the Chiefs, but you still need a new QB, IMO. I'd be very very surprised if he's still a starting QB by 2014.

You cannot include Dex's numbers as a RB.

Completely unfair.

As a WR, Dex has 34 career catches in 14 games, and probably 1/3 of those came with him coming from the backfield in 2010.

What are you talking about?

Career receiving yards:

McCluster - 679 yds
Tate - 715 yds

It doesn't matter where he is listed as a starter one bit. What am I missing?

As a receiver, Calvin Johnson is better than Ray Rice. But who would you rather have?

Dude, I mean seriously who gives a flying **** if he's catching passes out of the backfield or in the slot, as long as he contributing to helping make plays and helping this team thats all that matters. There is so much more you can do with McCluster. He can run, catch, return kicks, play the slot, create mismatches, he's a utility player that can cause some serious problems for defenses.

The debate is who is better as a WR.

Comparing RB receiving yards to WR receiving yards is comparing apples to oranges.

Dex sucks as a WR because he's not very good at beating CBs and is useless going down the field.

He can produce some receiving yards as a RB because he's matched up on linebackers, can catch screens, etc.

That doesn't translate to his play as a WR.

He has about 300 yards as an actual WR, doing WR things, running routes. Period.

End of discussion.

No he's not doin that anymore due to their love for Arenas. I'd rather have McCluster returning kicks and punts instead of Arenas. Arenas has been complete shit as a returner. Wanna talk bout wasted pick, Arenas definately is, all he is good at is blitzing the corner on a nickle blitz.

The jury is out on Baldwin. I haven't said one word about him, nor did I see him referenced in the ongoing discussion.

And I've been one of THE most-vocal people calling HackJob an idiot for the way he's beat the dead horse on Bowe. Bowe is a stud, he deserves to flex.

The discussion, that I saw, was about Dexter McCluster and while I appreciate what he brings to this team, he's not Golden Tate and never will be.

Nobody is arguing who the better true WR is! You just now invented that it is all of the sudden a debate about the better WR because you failed at who the better player is. You said Tate > McCluster without the caveat "as a WR."

So I will say again, Calvin Johnson is better than Ray Rice at doing WR things, but Ray Rice is still the better football player that most people would prefer to have.

Who is the better player? Calvin Johnson or Ray Rice?

Calvin Johnson is a better WR.

Ray Rice is a better RB.

Dex is fairly shitty as a WR and a RB, so he has that going for him. Jackass of all trades.

Oh, I am. Sorry. They are both wide receivers, so that's kind of important.

How could that be implied when it took him 8 posts to say "at doing WR things?"

Because they're both WRs.

Completely irrelevant question.

I thought Dex looked pretty good at WR the preseason and first 2 reg season games. And I've never been too high on the pick of Dex.
