By their, I mean the Bills.

Sorter 10-02-2012 12:38 AM

Although that could apply to the Falcons.

3-1, remember how bad our d played against Atlanta?

It's obvious to anyone who knows this team that they've lost faith in Castle since the beginning of the year. I think in 2010 they were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt because he has decent leadership qualities, and he was improving almost every game. But for some reason in 2011 he seem to lost all his confidence and regressed. Maybe it was after that playoff game. But whatever reason it's obvious to anyone with a brain that this team was discouraged to go into the season with Matt Cassel as their only option.

He is on his 45th offensive coordinator in just 5 years. Plus, he doesn't have an o-line that is good enough to protect him. Also, he doesn't have the kind of skill players around him to take advantage of his natural talent. And, on top of that, the defenses we're playing are acting all mean right at the very beginning of games.

In 2010 Cassel had an offensive coordinator that understood the concept of hiding his deficiencies while playing up his few capabilities. Since then, not so much.

They might have still lost, but it would have been 40-39.

What happened to Jim Zorn's magic that he was going to work? Is he still even on the team?

I don't think Zorn or anyone for that matter could make chicken salad out of this chicken shit.

And someone who would literally spank his ass every time he threw an INT.

That's a good question. Where is Zorn? I don't recall seeing him on the sidelines working with Cassel and evaluating situations and massaging his calves and guiding his thought processes and preparing his psyche for the next series.

Someone here told a story that when Zorn first arrived he put a trash can in the back corner of the endzone and had the quarterbacks stand at the 20 and try to throw passes into the trash can. Of the three QB’s, IIRC they were Cassel, Thigy and Brokey, the only one that could make the throw was Zorn.

Sweet Daddy Hate 10-02-2012 10:05 AM

Zorn has only been here since last year. It would have had to have been Cassel, Palko and Stanzi.

Pushead2 10-02-2012 10:11 AM

Cassel will be the reason Bowe does not resign with us.

Ah, thought I was off on that. Thanks.
If I could remember who posted it I'd go dig up the quote but all I remember is reading that during the offseason and having the same reaction notorious had.

The D was terrible, but that was par for the course for Trent Green.

The offense DID turn it over on 3 consecutive possessions. Even if the defense plays well you don't usually win if you do something that stupid.

I don't know what our record would be with Trent, but I can assure you the offense wouldn't be embarrassing itself every week.

I think the defense has turned the page on this team, but you can't expect them to be a team that will stop the other guys if they get a consistent short field.

I agree.

Cassel was given the opportunity to get back into the game.

He failed.

Per usual.

10 turnovers in the first 4 games has to be another Chiefs record, doesn't it?

That't not Cassel's fault though. Did anyone really expect anything else?

I don't know, Mr. Oh Snap. It looks to me as though he's just altering the question in order to avoid the answer.

I can't bring myself to believe that Roleo is that stupid.
