I'd love to take Manziel when he comes out but thats two years off

milkman 10-14-2012 08:01 AM

I have said this many times before.

I don't give a rat's ass about numbers.

When I watch Geno Smith, I see a QB with outstanding pocket awareness, outstanding foot mechanincs in the pocket, outstanding field vision.

Any QB that has no running game to support him is going to struggle against good defenses that can bring pressure.

That is illustrated by the fact that Tom Brady has struugled twice against the Giants in the SB.

Anyone who has watched Smith and comes away unimpressed is a ****ing moron who doesn't know what to look for from the QB position.

Anyone pimping Tyler Wilson over Geno Smith needs to be neutered so his moronacy isn't perpetuated.

Chiefs are nowhere near close to the worst team in the nfl, You will have no shot at Geno regardless.

Yup.

Delusional fans are delusional.

The only way we get Geno is if we pull a Dan Snyder which we know this franchise won't do...but most here seem to think otherwise.

Sluts. LMAO

If he is there when we draft; sure take him. BUT, I wouldn't trade up to the 1st pick to draft him like others here would...

I just think he will pan out to be average at best amongst starting QBs in the NFL.

-Okay-

BRING IT. :p

So how many times have you watched him? Once? Yesterday? Have you watched him at all, or just looked at the game stat line?

No need to answer, I already know.

Mr_Tomahawk 10-14-2012 08:27 AM

This team is going win enough games to be drafting 10-15.

Smith and Barkley will be off the board. We will be left to pick from Wilson, Bray, Murray and Manuel. Geno is the best QB in this draft, but drafting at 10-15, he isn't worth the picks RG3 was. Furthermore...what makes you all think this franchise will trade up to get a top-shelf QB in the 1st rnd?

Delusional fans.

I have no idea why people get wrapped up in that shit... My Raiders suck but we won't have a shot at him either.. Seriously I doubt they would take him if they could, probably trade the pick to get some talent on defense.

Chiefs are probably the best 1 win team in the NFL

Dave Lane 10-14-2012 08:43 AM

I'm a fan. Just not Saccoshit give away 10 drafts for Geno crazy fan. IF we can get him with our pick or a few picks I'm fine with it. I'm way more impressed with RGIII.

****ing this.

It's not like this team doesn't have holes and has depth at every position. People on this board think QB is the ONLY problem on this team and Geno is a guaranteed all-pro...

If he is there when we draft...take him. But **** "give up whatever it takes to get him". He is NOT worth that...

I was a fan of RGIII, and would have traded whatever necessary to get him.

There are a couple of things about RGIII that I like better, like his athleticism and speed, and his superior arm strength.

But at the end of the day, I still believe that it is pocket passers that lead teams to championships, and I believe that RGIII is that guy, but I also believe that Smith is more advanced, and more instinctive in the pocket already.

Not entirely.

I'm with Sac.

I'd trade entire drafts.

I believe the Aaron Rodgers comparison is a very good one.
I think this kid has that kind of talent and potential.

I don't care about the other needs on this team.

The Packers had no running game and a crap O-Line and still won a SB.

An elite QB can mask huge holes, and I believe in Smith's potential to be elite.

milkman 10-14-2012 09:01 AM

I never, ever believed that I would be in alliance with Sac.

Holy shit!

Pretty hard to ignore what Geno was doing to manage the game up to that point.

The simplified air raid attack has been cracked, and now Holgorson has nothing. You don't blame the colonel leading the charge. You blame the idiot general who drew up the plan.

It's better to lose to shit teams when you're in charge of an offense that can be adjusted to beat any defense. Or is it better to lose to teams with good defenses who have figured out your entire playbook?

Hmmm....

Surprised to see people not jumping up and down on the Geno Smith bandwagon tonight.

He's got everything he needs to be a great NFL QB, but his college team is getting their asses handed to them tonight, His line isn't even giving him a chance to throw the damn ball.

Don't let tonight sway you one way or another on the dude's NFL potential.

A mixture of:

1. The defense dropping turds everywhere

2. The offensive formations being called that are ill-equipped for what the defense brings

3. A little bit on the WRs not matching the defense's physicality, but not much

4. A little bit on Geno Smith not being more patient when his team got behind 3+ scores

It's like if a poster likes a player, they're locked in for life. It's gonna be a long season, folks. There will be ups and downs. It's ok to change your opinion along the way. Because after all, that's all it is. Your opinion.

I think Bray has the highest physical ceiling of anyone this year.
