Ironic that Pioli himself isn't part of the right 53.

You fail.

Who the **** cares if Luke Joeckel is a technician or a mauler? He could literally be a time-warped resurgence of Willie Roaf, and I wouldn't draft him over Geno Smith.

Let's say it's below freezing outside and you have the chance to buy a coat. You don't spend your last dollar on a briefcase instead, no matter how good of a deal it is. You buy the ****ing coat.

A team has NO QUARTERBACKS CURRENTLY ON THE ROSTER. Not even a shitty **** Alex Smith.

Geno Smith is too high at 1.

A team that HAS A QUARTERBACK drafts him at 6.

I completely agree with this. I rather have Matt Ryan or even Matt Schaub over Willie Roaf. As much as I like Joeckel, he wouldn't even get a decent look if I'm the chiefs.

Before you freak out over this one, hear me out. I don’t think the Chargers have quarterback as the top position of need, but if Smith slips to No. 6, he’s certainly worth considering here. Philip Rivers will be entering his 10th season in San Diego come August and he’s not getting any younger. At the very least, Smith can add another look for opposing defenses to prepare for. Hey, this is taking a chance, as we don’t even know who will be coaching this team next year, but it’s worth the consideration. Smith’s not a sure-thing top-five pick in my eyes, but he’s certainly an enticing selection if you’re San Diego.

haha this guy is like legit reeruned

That thought actually had validity before the rookie salary cap went into effect. Drafting Jamarcus Russell #1 at $61 mil over 5 years with $29 mil guaranteed was a franchise-killing disaster. The next #1 will make, what... $22 mil? If he ends up sucking, its a big setback - but its not a radioactive dirty bomb. Teams can now afford to take a flyer on the #1.

Yep. Same hit regardless.

Although some will argue that tackle is 'safer' because you might get a passable guard out of your 22 million dollar disaster.

For some reason the Dolts are in the second tier of media darlings. Phyllis is getting closer to the end of his career, next years QB class isn't as strong as this year and the national media loves to make fun of the Chiefs. It's really not that hard to figure out.

This guy seems to be seriously trying to make this point. I do agree that the media wanted to love SD. It seems they have gotten over it though since nothing ever came of their teams.

Sanchez could fail out of the league after this season, and I would still maintain that without the benefit of hindsight, he was the right decision for the Chiefs at 3. The Cassel trade should never have been made, and Pioli shouldn't have tried to outsmart everyone.

If Pioli really hated Sanchez that ****ing much, he should have eaten the poor trade down offer (whatever it was he received from teams) and then taken a guy he wanted. Tyson Jackson would still have been there; the only team that really wanted him besides us was Green Bay drafting at 10 overall.

Yes. All of this.

You should be thankful you avoided Assfumble Sanchez at least, though.

cassel is just as bad, at least the jets tried to develop their own, and they'll probably do it again in the draft this year. That is a trait i would like our next gm to have. ADMIT MISTAKES AND FKING FIX THEM!!!

I want Geno Smith as much as anyone, but Te'o is not going to struggle doing anything at the next level. The reason to not draft Te'o isn't because he won't be the next truly great MLB - he will be. The reason is that we don't need the next great anything except QB.

Damn, you are stupid.
