kubiak's a mediocre coach, i would of fired him already 2 years ago.

tk13 01-05-2013 05:11 PM

Don't worry, the Bengals -6 passing yards in the first half is the worst in a playoff game since the Chiefs -8 first half passing yards against the Colts in Herm's first year.

siberian khatru 01-05-2013 05:11 PM

Good to see the Chiefs once again included in a playoff futility stat

notorious 01-05-2013 05:11 PM

God Damnit Herm.

-8 yards in the first half.

Thankfully that was balanced out by the fact that we weren't running the ball effectively either.

Against the worst rushing defense in the NFL.

Remember, though, that was Sanders' first game back. He did make a difference.

Awesome job on the coverage!

Quesadilla Joe 01-05-2013 05:16 PM

If that WR would have came back to the football it would have been a first down. That's one thing Demaryius and Decker do great.

I think those are the only two WR's in the NFL that do that, too.

Interesting, cause I'd take Wade Philips as a DC in a second.

Yeah it was talked about before and during the season that Kubiak could not have a one and done season and retain his job.

Wow, Ponder out

tk13 01-05-2013 05:28 PM

Ponder inactive for tonight's game. It's Joe Webb time.

chefsos 01-05-2013 05:30 PM

Think Webb and AP are taking a crash course in the option right now?

Crush 01-05-2013 05:30 PM

DaKCMan AP 01-05-2013 05:30 PM

A better throw & that's a TD.

Inactive over a fatigued elbow.

In a playoff game.

Wow.

In his defense, with PM in his div for all of those years, I think his record is pretty good. I'd gladly take that over what we've had since he became HC in Texas

How can you challenge that? He missed the football entirely and the ball travels like 10 yards in the air... not backwards.

Uhh, dude...he probably couldn't throw the ball more than 20 yards or something. I'm betting this is a coaches decision.

According to NFLN, he hit it on a helmet last week - but that the bigger issue is fatigue.

Kurt Warner made a point about how he played through it, and that you forget about the pain during a game.

LiL stumppy 01-05-2013 05:36 PM

Maybe the coach deactivated him,not himself?

jd1020 01-05-2013 05:36 PM

It usually works out pretty well when the first pass you throw all year is in a playoff game.

Said no one, ever.

I think the Vikings actually have a better chance in this game by going with Joe Webb.

Then again, I think Ponder is complete garbage

LiL stumppy 01-05-2013 05:39 PM

It doesn't matter what it is, if it effects his arm strength it effects the team.

And I take Ponder over any Qb we have.

My bad. I didn't realize a QB who didn't eclipse 3k yards for the season was such a devastating blow to the roster.

Joe Webb will be the 1st QB in NFL history to start a postseason game after not attempting a single pass all season (from Elias).

It's their 2nd season in the league and you see people on the internet ripping up guys like Dalton and Ponder. It makes me wonder how Chiefs fans are going to receive a rookie QB.

jd1020 01-05-2013 05:53 PM

When KC finally drafts a legitimate option at QB he better show me something beyond "don't **** it up, asshole!"

How so?

Joe Webb opens up running lanes for Adrian Peterson. I bet Rudolph and Peterson have big nights and Webb adds a little versatility.

If anything, this may actually give the Vikings a fighting chance at Lambeau because of the lack of game tape/the fact Webb can run the ball and open up inside lanes for Peterson.

Dalton and Ponder suck, even by they're names, you can tell they suck. Of course fans are going to be hard on a rookie QB but that's whats to be expected now.

No need to wonder, you know how it will be.

40% will believe they could do no wrong. 50% will bash the shit out of him, 10% will be objective.

Hootie 01-05-2013 05:57 PM

if the Vikings can strike first and keep the Pack from getting up 10+...

Joe Webb can be VERY effective because he adds a whole different element to the team...and it's not like they were winning games with Ponder passing the ball.

Also, I love how fans (tk13 was mentioning this) will watch ONE Bengals game and make comments like "Dalton is awful." It's hilarious.

Now Dalton needs to do a better job of trusting his windows and not always throwing the ball away and always making the safe pass rather than playing so conservatively all of the time...but he's got a pretty nice ceiling and has had a pretty good start to his career.

I'd take him over Locker, Ponder and Gabbert at this point by a wide margin.

tk13 01-05-2013 05:58 PM

I guess. Dalton has helped QB his team to the playoffs his first two seasons in a brutal division. I wouldn't close the book on him at all.

Honestly if the Chiefs draft a guy and he ends up doing what Dalton does, we'll be very lucky.

OnTheWarpath15 01-05-2013 05:58 PM

When are Kubiak's balls gonna drop?

He just begging the Bengals to keep this game tight.

Hootie 01-05-2013 05:59 PM

I'd hope for better based on where we're drafting, but would be satisfied.

Hootie 01-05-2013 06:00 PM

I always thought McNabb was a top 5 QB during his prime...he was another one of those vastly underrated guys.
