He looks like he's about half a qualude away from drooling all over himself.

Ridiculous length of the show? Inevitability of losing to DDL? Not liking award shows altogether but still showing up for some reason?

I will say that his performance in The Master this year was pretty incredible.

I agree. That was one of the most strange characters I've ever seen.

What's been long forgotten, for some stupid reason, is that Al Pacinco is ****ing awful and unwatchable in Gigli. Yet somehow, Affleck gets the bad pub.

Weird.

heh, honestly ive never seen the movie. Just making a joke. I actually like Affleck alot. Seems like a decent, very talented guy. He went through a bad patch there with the JLo/tabloid stuff, but he obviously bounced back pretty well.

the Talking Can 02-25-2013 07:30 AM

i thought Beasts of the Southern Wild was the best movie of the year...but it was also too unconventional and had no real chance

Zero Dark Thirty was excellent as well, the whole controversy was nonsense...Bigelow is a fantastic director

The difference, I think, is Affleck was a star in Gigli. Pacino was a cameo... and I firmly believe he was doing his buddy Martin Brest a solid.

Molitoth 02-25-2013 08:55 AM

Affleck was fucking awesome in: Dazed & Confused and The Boiler Room

Sorry to slightly dampen the narrative, but Jim Jefferies said on Carolla the other day that 'Sugarman' toured Australia, New Zealand and a few other countries twice with Midnight Oil's World Tours in recent years before South Africa 'tracked him down in obscurity' for the documentary. Say he was not well known, but certainly known, on the international stage.

Wish they would have invited Seth back but we all knew that wasn't happening again. LMAO

houstonwhodat 02-15-2014 09:00 AM

I haven't seen any of this shit.

Hell there's no video stores any more and I don't do Netflix. Most of their movies are ancient.
