I stand united with SNR

We all know what's going to happpen. This team is worse than the 2010 squad. We have Stanford Routt jr. opposite of Flowers, no WR other than Bowe and a pass heavy offense led by a quarterback who has never even had a 3200 yard season. |
I'm impressed SNR knew all along. Well done sir.

How are they better than the 10 squad? Alex Smith will not have a 27/7 year like Cassel did. Hell, he has never even had a 20 td year. |
How many games will Alex Smith play before he gets hurt? Serious question.

nine games, am I right? |

No |

Bowe will take a ****ing beating. Count on that. This will run Bowe and Charles into the dirt. ... By the time this staff realizes what they can't do the people that have "can do" will be furious... |
Quote:
We have a qb who wont be as good as Cassel was in 10, we don't have a good corner opposite of Flowers like we had with Carr and we have no WR to take pressure off Bowe. Maybe this should be a thread? |

Smith has some huge upside but he needs serious coaching. In Miami he looked a lot like Bartee (all the talent but no ball awareness or ability to make the play.) Quote:
Adding another slot WR and drafting nothing does jack $3it for our passing game. We have 43 slot WR's and no legit no 2... |

interesting spin on it |

I was just about to post about how, this draft has proven that there were probably multiple suitors for Smith.
|
Believe I read somewhere on CP a while back that Buffalo had offered a third for Smith, hence we offered our second.

guys with a combined nfl experience of like seventy years are no match for the super powers of cp posters

you guys are so smart you spent 5 months and 100,000 posts on Geno Smith going #1 and he didn't even go in the 1st round
so much smarter than Dorsey and Andy Reid |

Career? Doubtful. One of these guys is going to be successful. |

None of you are smarter that either of them. Thats why you are bitching on a message board and they are millionaires running and NFL franchise. All of you need to STFU AND STFD!

I'm starting to think Andy Reid could win back-to-back Super Bowls and half of Chiefsplanet would still call him an idiot if he doesn't draft a quarterback RIGHT ****ING NOW!

we got the best QB prospect in this draft at #34

I'll play the game from similar perspective - personnel. I view these things like Deion Sanders and Kurt Warner do - looking for swagger - Jared Allen types, playmakers (Shannon Sharpe), winners (Warner sees something in EJ Manuel and a few months ago I read where Andy Reid focused on him too), fearless guys like Dale Carter. This is one reason I am relieved with the Fisher pick. That guy will be successful. When it comes to TE I admit to being totally spoiled from the Gonzalez experience and its more important these guys get open and catch the ball than block. I fix that weakness with HOF guards if possible. If there's one thing I've learned to hate as a Chiefs fan it is pressure coming up the middle. If you can't prevent that then you have to have a quick release QB and run the west coast offense.
So - given the veteran challenge at QB in our division Alex Smith was the right choice to try and win while we still have to cope with Manning and Rivers. Our division will reset soon...2 more years I figure. It's too early to tell with Reid and Dorsey...but the Chiefs have to get a lot nastier. That is one reason I hated to lose Haley...the team needed his passion. It's just a shame ***** was so wrong for a coach like that. They fired the wrong guy who never got the coaches and QB he deserved the latitude to find. But now that the damage has been done...Reid and Dorsey are a logical fit to clean this up. |

The number one pick is supposed to be an impact player. It seems like we're just making a lateral move.

Look, I didn't want a tackle 1st overall. No way. but after I watched the first round... I realized that was honestly the only way to go. Or Dion Jordan. Whatever. There was no elite QB and no elite WR. So oh well. Everyone but ChiefsPlanet agrees the Chiefs made the right pick. These are the same experts that promised everyone Geno wasn't elite. Seems like they are smarter than SNR and Milkman. They get paid, there is a reason for it. |
Well, it sure seems a lot of us were smarter than Pioli/Haley/Romeo so sure, Why not?
That's NOT sarcasm btw. :thumb: It's really obvious that Reid is building this offense a LOT different than the rest of the NFL. Mainly because of the QB. |

Great great pick. They didn't take the safe OT. |

Ladies and Gentlemen, our contestants today are John Dorsey and Andy Reid.

I understand the not being excited for Alex Smith or for Eric Fisher sentiment...100%. Neither of them excited me, either. But I'm not unrealistic, and I'm certainly not going to say Alex Smith compares to Matt Cassel. That's ludicrous. |

Falling in the draft means you can't be an elite player? I thought you said Russell Wilson was elite? You can't have it both ways dude. Those same experts said he wasn't elite. Those same gm's passed more than they did on Geno. You can't have it bug ways Hootie Posted via Mobile Device |

actually it's really ****ing stupid I'd elaborate, but I fear you're too stupid to comprehend. |

and that baffles me I'm sure Geno can be elite. Russell Wilson and Tom Brady are EXCEPTIONS to the rule. If Geno comes out of the gate and plays like Russell ****ing Wilson then all of the QB needy teams in this draft are going to look bad. Same with a Tyler Wilson or Matt Barkley. but Brady Quinn fell, and he blew Clausen fell...guess what, he blew and the list goes on and on and on and on for every Wilson, there are 1000 Clausen's |
I'm just saying that the story isn't written completely. You are acting as though it is

CP had Geno #1 every team they mocked him to passed on him twice. Twice. That's telling. Can he prove them wrong? Sure. So could anyone though. Jarvis Jones could end up being a 1st ballot hall of famer. Eric Fisher could end up being the best LT to ever play the game. You can say that about any one. |
Quote:
However, the fact is that neither Smith or Cassel are good QBs. Smith is smarter, and will not lose you games with stupid mistakes. But in a simplified, one read system, Cassel is actually a better passer. |

I keep waiting for Clark Hunt to approach guys on the Planet to hire them in their decision making process... No? I guess that's because the extent of the experience here is at best is a "woulda, shoulda, coulda" high school career or maybe coaching peewee football (God forbid) or posting genius assessment on a fan board.
Andy Reid - 5 visits to the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP ... Chiefs - since 1969.... None We have been upgraded in every move made. Just a passionate Football opinion |

You are not making any ****ing sense. Read your last three posts. JFC dude. Geno may end up elite. He may not. But like Wilson or kapernick, two of your top five qb's, other teams passing multiple times doesn't make him end up not being elite. Posted via Mobile Device |

To me, it comes down to whether Reid adapts to Smith's limitations. If he expects Smith to run the same offense he ran with McNabb, this is likely going to implode. If he adjusts, and utilizes a a more run oriented, play action system, them mediocrity is within our grasp. |

Matt Cassel is not a better passer than Alex Smith period.
Totally disagreed with that. |

No, don't even claim you know shit about shit. You are not a NFL front office worker. You are sitting on an Amateur sports fan forum. There is a reason why they are there and well... You're here. The fact you like Terrance Copper is a red flag that you are a ****ing idiot.

you sound like Kevin Kietzman...and that's never a good thing.
