I probably would. Get a 2nd back, but I would want a 2nd next year not 3rd.
Just won't receive a king's ransom this year |

Christ, they can pony up their second and third this year, PLUS next years' second.
I bet car dealerships love you guys! |

If we trade back and dont take a top OT, that is a good sign Albert's going to sign long-term, hopefully.

Anything but fatty @ one.

If that fatty can rush the passer and make an impact, I'd consider that fatty. But I'm still hoping for Geno somehow

All this is just more reason as to why we really need to just draft Geno. |

I think Reid and Dorsey realize this, and that is why they were busy in free agency. Essentially, they killed most of our "needs" through FA, and have turned our 1.1 pick into a luxury selection. The way they handled free agency sets up perfectly for drafting Geno if they wanted to. No pressure on the kid, just come in and watch how to prepare and get the feel for the speed of the pro game, then turn him loose next season. If he can beat out Alex for the starting gig next year, fantastic. If not, that's fine too, just take a little more time to get yourself acclimated. |
Damn, that would be sweet.

He wants Jacksonville to draft Geno and beings that his own team doesn't have a fanbase like ours, he wanted to spend the time before the draft somewhere Geno would be discussed. |

I'm just ready for this draft to come. I would absolutely love it if KC traded back, took Geno and didnt take Joeckel. Just to shove it up Blackmons ass ROFL.

What would really be funny is if Luke Joeckel ended up a first ballot HOFer and Geno Smith was playing in the CFL in 2015. Boy there would be some old threads being dug up lol.
|
Or if Joeckel was the next Jason Smith and Geno was the HOFer. :hmmm:

Reid made guys like AJ Feeley and Kevin Kolb look good.
Geno is far superior to both of those guys. |

At this point it'd just be funny if Jacksonville drafted Joeckel.

They're not gonna draft Joeckel. THey have Monroe and he's a top 10 tackle. But, that would make it doubly hilarious if they took Joeckel...

And if KC does take an OT, Fisher's the better prospect.
|
Look at time of possession. Jags had the ball a lot more than the Chiefs which allowed them to pass the ball more. Plus we didn't want to pass because every time we did it was going to get picked off and when you have a top 3 rb in the NFL you don't pass you give your RB the ball.

What do you think is easier? Being a LT for a team that runs the ball the majority of the time? Or an LT for a team that is being expected to pass constantly because they are on a 4th string RB? |

Gabbert could probably reach his potential if your team had a line that would block for him. Time to take OT and franchise Monroe next year.
|
Yep, bundle of sticksgsonville needs oline. The deal is done.

We both know there is no chance of that happening. As mad and bitter as you are right now about your own team. |

Monroe is good for the left...time for Wormack or Lane Johnson for the right so you guys can keep Gabbert on your feet. This is fun |
Regardless of who we draft, we will destroy JAX every time we meet from here on out.

Gruden: Chiefs should draft Luke Joeckel
April, 16, 2013 Apr 16 4:30 PM ET By Bill Williamson | ESPN.com Recommend1 Tweet2 Comments0 If Jon Gruden was making the No. 1 pick for the Kansas City Chiefs in next week’s NFL draft, his choice would be the player who is currently expected to be the choice -- Texas A&M left tackle Luke Joeckel. Gruden explained in an ESPN conference call his reasons for taking Joeckel over fellow left tackle Eric Fisher of Central Michigan or any other top prospect. “I don't know what (Chiefs coach) Andy Reid is going to do, certainly,” Gruden said. “But you're talking about a left tackle that not only won the Outland Award trophy as a true junior. He played for two different head coaches, two different systems. (He) helped (Ryan) Tannehill become a first rounder, helped Johnny Manziel win the Heisman, did it against the best America has to offer in terms of competition. Reliable, athletic, consistent, Joeckel would be the guy I would take.” Gruden is well versed with Joeckel. Here is a video of Joeckel’s visit to Gruden's famous pre-draft camp. |
WE ALREADY HAVE A DAMN GOOD LT. For ****'s sake!!

Would be one of the worst picks at 1 of All time if it happens. 2-14 and they don't even improve the team one bit with the first pick....just awesome.
