And you do know that Pioli had a track record for being an absolute nazi about making all personnel decisions, right? Even when other people didn't want those players.

I dont' care if he was crazy. I care about if he could have won games. For as much as CP bitches and moans about the QB situation, we sure as hell undermine how big a deal it is when the coach is forced to use a QB he doesn't want.

Well shit, maybe he shouldn't have taken the job then.

Mother****erJones 05-16-2013 06:37 PM

****!! I loved Kaep coming out and wanted to take him. I didn't mind the baldwin pick because we needed talent at WR but damn I wanted Kaep. I know hindsight is 20/20 but I really did want him in round 1.

Mother****erJones 05-16-2013 06:40 PM

Well since I'm in a pissed off mood, are there any other gut wrenching ***** inside info besides shit from last year? Like the whole room wanting Kaep but Pioli took Baldwin.

mcaj22 05-16-2013 06:42 PM

Phil Taylor was, and still should have been the pick

I was thinking the same thing. We can make a list of players and then if Rain Man wanted to conduct our poll we could get a ranking of players that have burnt this franchise to the last year.

i dont know how some of you are just figuring this all out

dont you watch NFL Network? Scooter has said plenty of times since his new cozy TV gig that his evaluation for the draft in 2011 was off, he liked both Dalton and Kap, and still didnt take either like he should have. It's clearly hindsight revisionism at this point, but if he had a time machine knowing what he knows now, he clearly hints at not making the Baldwin pick.

He's done this plenty of times on TV, especially when they kept asking him about QBs leading up to the draft, it was always "When I was in KC, blah blah blah, we looked at blah and blah blah and I liked him but we obviously blah blah"

This one time he caught this one ball in a play that didn't count.

That makes him good.

Rasputin 05-17-2013 07:20 AM

I don't even think we could get a 3rd rounder for Baldwin in on a trade. It would be a tough sell to get anything better than that out of him.

Unless he does well in preseason but then if he does well why would we get rid of him? I doubt he does that good so I'd get what we can out of him and move on.

The less Pioli baggage the have the better.

When DJ and bowe were in the doghouse, they were pissed off. And they upped their game.

Baldwin has been losing playing time. Yet, he hasn't progressed one bit. If a guy doesn't get pissed off about losing playing time, that tells you a lot about his character. I wouldn't be upset if we cut Baldwin tomorrow.

I don't care what we do with Baldwin. I doubt he'll have more impact than Donnie Avery even if he's on the team and he's not going to play slot, so if he's cut, then I'd have no problem with it.

mcaj22 05-17-2013 01:04 PM

Travis Kelce is basically going to run all the routes Baldwin should be running with Fasano as the LOS TE, they are the same size, Baldwin is a .10 faster in his 40 give or take, so how in the ****ing world is Baldwin going to see the field over Avery, Kelce, Bowe, McCluster lol

which also funny, CoMoChief was right in hating the pick, but wrong at the same time in saying it was because he has stone hands and completely missed the fact that the guy cant run a route or beat the press to save his life lol

actually its probably more so

Alex Smith likes to check off the WR1 a lot and throw into the TE window more because there is a bigger opening in the middle of the field no matter the distance

he is definitely afraid to fit it in a window in 1 on 1 outside match ups in fear his noodle arm will get jumped by a CB for a pick. If he doesnt trust Bowe like he didnt trust Crabtree, its going to be a LONG season lol

that's the difference. Kap has no ****ing fear and trusts his arm strength. Alex Smith plays scared and soft.
