I don't really care who you ban, but considering the kind of shit that goes on here every day from many, many, many posters worse than him I find it odd. Seriously, I've never been on another forum that allows the kind of shit that is allowed here on a daily basis. It is the lawless wild west, so someone getting banned is really laughable.

We don't chase problems in D.C. That's pretty much a wasteland except for racial slurs. As for the rest, we enforce what is reported or the blatant stuff we happen upon during our own board reading. But you're right; this place is notoriously lenient.

Other than those two threads, for the most part Hootie talked Royals baseball and didn't do that much "Hootie-like" stuff. Morph has been a mod for ages. I've been a mod since Aug 2000 except for a 2 year hiatus. Bearcat has been around for quite a while. Bob Dole is one of the originals.

Daface indicated to me that being a mod was affecting his enjoyment of the board. He also didn't agree with how we were tightening up a bit. He also quit the night Hootie was banned. I can see how one would take it as some sort of protest over Hootie but Daface isn't an emotional, irrational guy like that. He's taken hiatus before when he got tired of it. Daface is a quality poster, not a feather in Hootie's cap.

I'm crowning right now. But I think we're out of TP.
