If anybody is going to St Joe for camp and wants a map of all the bars ... here is a half assed St Joe version of EventZombie that has the bars and their FB events/posts .. unfortunately many of them haven't figured out the Facebooks yet so the data isn't complete.

Oh and it's pretty much a mobile site but it still works on a desktop.

Is it worth the trip from Cali and will I be able to get autographs or is it kinda hard?

Hell no, if I didn't have a use it or lose it PTO policy at work, I wouldn't even make the 40 minute trip up from KC.

Chiefs Rookie TE Travis Kelce was by far the most targeted receiver today at practice by Alex Smith.

Chiefs could argue they have the NFL's SMARTEST linebacker in Princeton Draft Pick Mike Catapano....but may Catapano also be the NFLs STRONGEST linebacker??? Check out an instagram video of the 280 lbs Rookie and Ivy League Player Of The Year deadlifting 615 lbs for multiple reps like its a play toy while prepping for camp this summer.

I would post on here but I don't have that privilege yet. If someone could visit Powerfitness_ny on twitter or PowerFitnessNY on instagram to access video and post you can see what I mean.

O.city 07-23-2013 06:00 PM

I think Catapano actually makes the squad and is instantly better than Studebaker.

Have fun, Chiefs fans. Football right around the corner. Reid runs a very tough camp. I mentioned it when the Chiefs first signed Reid. All the stuff you hear about him running grueling camps is 100% true. Some people think they may be too tough. Regardless, that is his style.

I'll be hanging around again if anyone has any questions about Reid as the preseason comes to a close. That said, now is the time where you'll start to be able to form your own opinions on the guy with more exposure in camp. I hope he turns the franchise around. I've always liked the passionate KC fan base and think when the Chiefs are competitive, it's good for football. I hate when I watch Chargers games and their stadium is half full of opposing team's fans.

Any info on Reid in preseason?

Yeah. It probably only varies slightly with each coach, but usually he does it like this:

Preseason game 1 - starters play one quarter and maybe halfway into the second quarter.
Preseason game 2 - starters play a half
Preseason game 3 -starters play 2.5 to 3 quarters
Preseason game 4 - no starters play at all.

Then from there he works his way down the depth chart with the remaining time pretty evenly.

There are slight variations. If the starters absolutely suck, he may keep them in longer-for another possession or two. If they come out and play great right off the bat, he will most likely pull them a drive or two early.

He keeps things pretty vanilla as do most coaches. Reid usually likes to go deep on the offensive and defensive lines for final rosters.

Direckshun 07-23-2013 06:43 PM

Who's BradBigglestein? Is he legit?

BradBigglestein 07-23-2013 06:52 PM

I've been here for a little while giving up some random thoughts about Reid. I'm very interested in the Chiefs this year having Reid as a coach of the Eagles for the last 14 years. I'll be watching them as much as I can on NFL Red Zone.

I can't wait to find out. He was who I wanted the Eagles to hire even with all the uncertainty. Philly is pretty excited. For a decent chunk of the fan demographic, Andy Reid was coach for almost half of people's fan lives. 14 year is a long time.

I've ridden Lesean McCoy on my fantasy 3 years in a row now. I think I'm off him this year. I'm very curious to see what the offense is. Unfortunately for Kelly I'm not sure the weapons are there quite yet. The WRs have really fallen off and McCoy has a lot of milage on him. Bryce Brown is interesting but a definite fumbler.

I don't know what to expect. Kelly ran the ball a lot more in college than he threw it. But he also might split up the carries and might be totally different than he was in college altogether. McCoy was a workhorse for the last few years, but he still is very young. Not close to that proverbial 30 year old wall yet. I want to see if he can get more out of Maclin and Jackson. So I don't know what to tell you in terms of fantasy. Kelly is as new to us as anyone else. Not to derail the topic from Chiefs stuff. My apologies.

The Eagles WRs are strange. When comparing to the Chiefs I think Bowe is slightly better individually than both Jackson and Maclin but as a unit obviously the Eagles are superior. I'm really interested to see what Reid does with Jamaal Charles. Unfortunately we don't have a Bryce Brown to fill into the backfield when moving JC around.

Whatever, I can't take it. I'm so excited to get the season started. argh

Tysyn Hartman ended up having to platoon as a starting FS at the end of last season because Kendrick Lewis is that terrible

I expect a mix of Hartman, Demps, Abdullah and other makeshift turds to do the same this year, because you cant fix Kendrick Lewis's lack of talent back there. Hes not magically going to get faster, smarter, take better angles and have his shoulder not hanging by pins and needles. He's useless when it comes time to be physical, all he can do is play the ball in the air and even then he gets beat most of the time except when an overthrown ball lands in his lap

at least we know our first round draft pick next year might be a FS.

Good! With the limited number of practices with full pads and live, best to take full advantage of these opportunities. I know its to save the wear and tear on their bodies and I'm totally fine with that, but the one place the NFL has gotten sloppy is tackling. Sadly, this shit should have been sorted out before any of these guys left highschool...
