I want wrath of the Titans and clash of the Titans remade, I love mythology. In my opinion they made these way to short.

Unforgiven--Hackman's was the only performance worth a shit in that movie....great concept/horrible acting by some good actors.

I think Carpenter's Prince of Darkness was a super creepy flick that might do well with a quality reboot.
Communion would be a great horror flick if redone right. The book was written in a way that just gets in your head. Some 80's flicks like The Breakfast Club or Real Genius would be fun. Blade Runner if done properly... |

Wes Craven's Shocker, I'd love to see this remade or sequel. I liked this movie as a kid but grown up seems more cheesy & bad acting. I am still a fan of this movie and Wes Craven. |
Fantastic Voyage or Innerspace.

But if a remake were to be done right, it would be fun. |

McQueen just rolled over in his grave! As stated earlier....running man (which it will be tough to top Dawson's performance). I heard a new robocop was on the way.... And I believe a remake of Logan's run is in the works as well. I've always wanted more "coming to America"....but that's probably just me wishing for Eddie to be the old Eddie. Someone else mentioned carpenters prince of darkness....that was an excellent story hindered by so so acting that could stand a reboot |
Also.....Clive barker's Nightbreed was an amazing book....and such a letdown film (cheesy effects). Lots of potential there with new technologies.

until Gran Torino....this was my fav Eastwood movie. now...I'm not sure. I ****ing LOVE this movie! bad lines and all! "It's a helluva thing killing a man, you take away all he's got...and all he's ever gonna have." it just KICKS ASS! "Well I guess he had it coming." "We've ALL got it coming." "You better bury Ned right; and don't go cuttin' up... nor otherwise harm no whores, or I'll come back and kill every one of you sons-a-bitches." I love this movie. to each his own I reckon..... |

Also, not that I always agree with the Academy, but I think I will take their opinion over Friendo. I've always wanted The Towering Inferno remade with a modern budget and effects. That could be sweet. McQueen and Newman were so Boss in that. Who could play those roles nowdays? Pitt and Clooney?

I'll bet Universal reboots Jaws pretty soon. It still holds "name appeal" and the basic premise is still solid.

Same thing with Tora Tora Tora. Still a great movie, just sucks that the battle scenes look like they were shot with models in a bathtub. And for the love of God, don't have George Lucas do it. |
The problem with all the action movie reboot suggestions is that they will be cgi shitfests.
Hollywood for the most part still hasn't figured out that computer generated effects aren't a substitute for acting, dialogue, and plot. |

If "Jaws" is remade it will be hot garbage and as forgettable as the "Total Recall" remake.
The characters and directing made that movie what it is- a classic. We have very few directors who'd do a good job with it, or who would WANT to direct a re-boot. Plus, name a cast that would out-act Scheider, Dreyfus, and Shaw? Yeah. None...unfortunately (and on a different note) today the best actors under say the age of 50, are all from the UK or Australia. I personally don't care to see Abercrombie models overreacting to green screens, er, a CGI shark... Leave Jaws alone. Remake "The Legend of Boggy Creek" instead.:D |

That's nearly $800 million (before DVD sales) for crap films. Also, this year, sequels, prequels and remakes have shattered records whereas "Original" works have failed spectacularly. Don't blame the dealer, blame the addict. |

I'd love to see a series of movies covering the other Baum Oz books, like they are doing with the Narnia books. Unfortunately, this would probably require a reboot of The Wizard of Oz to correct the vision of Oz and get a new Dorothy and I don't think that would be accepted very well. The '39 version was too beloved for that to happen (look at the gnashing of teeth that happened with Oz, the Great and Powerful, which was only a prequel not based on any of the Baum books).
