a 3rd round pick to rent Tony for 8 games?
get the **** out ... |
The 3rd round pick is too much, but let's stop calling it a rental "for 8 games". It's a rental for the playoffs in hopes of making a Superbowl run.

Our TEs are already getting open. We don't need that old turd. |

Gonzalez is like Bowe, though. No separation and he uses his body to catch balls. How is that working so far? |

Dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria.

From the thread title, I didn't know if the Chiefs front office let him go or if he talked bad about McGrath's wife in the locker room. That dude is straight up scary with a shard of broken mirror.

Next year we still have the same 3 TE's as now only the team chemistry is $3it because everyone knows they can be dumped for a rental or the hot trade at the moment instead of the "we're a family" atmosphere that's already been well recieved... |
Quote:
The family stuff is great, but they aren't reeruned enough to think that moves aren't gonna be made. |
LMAO
Atlanta's schedule includes 4 of the next 6 on the road with the only home games being against Seattle and New Orleans. **** them for being reeruned. |

He'd be displacing out starting TE... |

Sure will suck if we lose a playoff game because the Beard couldn't get open.

And that's all that's talked about is a holding call on the TE that lost the game... |
I am glad they didn't make the trade. Remember when Donnie Edwards came back. He sucked.

So we're down to 2 TEs? Fasano and McGrath?
|
Quote:
That said trading a day 2 pick screams desperate. And frankly I don't think with him we make a SB... |
Jack Ballard maybe.

I think it screams that you're highly emotional and will risk the future for even the slightest chance today. Despite what you've been selling the team. That, and that what you have isn't good enough... |

If this is a family, we just put Kevin Brock up for adoption.

Still no word who it is?

Sure would be nice if he got a shot and turned some heads. |

Rokeviuos Watkins signed to the 53. TE Dominique Jones signed to the PS.
More pressure on Asamoah and Allen. |
Good. Were going to get Alex killed if the oline doesn't get its shit together. Chiefs like small college guys like TE Dominique Jones who signed to PS

good size at 6'3 270. Just by that size I would say good Hback prospect. Wonder how he is inline at the Y. A Delaine Walker type could be a good fit
|
Speaking of the Hback, FB/TE tweener, wing, motion TE, what ever you want to call it....Keith Byers was one hell of a unique player at his size with excellent feet. Don't see many that compare to him since he retired

Not much on him as far as game footage but this gives you kind of an idea

I've been saying for weeks that it's hard for me to believe that Rishaw Johnson is worse and has less upside than Jeff Allen. Asamoah has been awful in pass pro, so the move for Watkins seems to be an acknowledgement in that regard. While he's only been signed to the practice squad, Jones appears to be more of a blocking tight end than a receiving threat. After multiple failures in the Red Zone (especially from the one yard line against Houston), changes must be coming. |

I see these moves as a prep for 2014 when Asamoah and Schwartz are free agents. Chiefs will likely allow both of them to test FA, as well as the safties (Abdullah, Demps, Lewis). |

Teams don't sign players mid-season for the following offseason. This is all about NOW. Not a year from now. |
This whole line can go **** itself for all I care. Albert is the only one worth a shit. Fisher should be better in year 2.
|
Stephenson would be an option at G if the inconsistancy and worries about Fisher weren't in the picture
|
Reid said that one of the reasons they elevated Watkins was because they were in danger of losing him to another club. It's in Terez Paylor's piece today in the Star.
|
Quote:
If Reid isn't playing his best players because he's more concerned with the "swing" guys, it'll really harsh my mellow. |
