LOL TT Storms the court and can't even get enough kids to do it to fill up the court. There's just a group of them in the middle.

Reerun_KC 01-15-2014 10:06 PM

Storm that court.

How much longer before the Baylor AD realizes what a shitty coach they have in Drew?

Considering the elevated talent of this year's conference, I think we can sneak a 6th team in.

KU, OSU, ISU, KSU, Baylor, OU get into the dance from the Big XII this year in my opinion.

I think the problem there for Baylor is that he has won just enough, and pulls in some pretty big recruits to keep the hype up.

That and he's earned a little slack from taking the program to non-existent to relevant. Let's not forget they tried to bury a murder down there not that long ago.

Scott Drew is the least liked Coach in the Big XII... And that's by all the other coaches. The guy will never get any favors or breaks anywhere with the bridges he's burned.

You know, he really has done a pretty incredible job turning that program around and renewing it's image. I had forgotten all about that.

Yeah, 7 looks good, but if West Virginia gets their stuff together and wins a couple at home versus better competition, they could get to 18 wins.

Board of Regents approved the new dorms for KU. 8-1 vote. They need to get this built ASAP. Just another great recruiting tool.

K-state also got a bunch of new football upgrades approved.

Chiefs Pantalones 01-16-2014 10:50 AM

The gap between KU's #1 ranked SOS (strength of schedule) and the #2 ranked SOS is the same as the gap between the #2 SOS and the #83 SOS.

I’m interested to see what percentage of KU’s games ended up being against tournament teams.

Louisiana Monroe
Duke
Iona
Towson
Wake Forest
Villanova
UTEP
Colorado
Florida
New Mexico
Georgetown
Toledo
San Diego State
Oklahoma
K-State
Iowa State
Ok State
Baylor
TCU
Iowa State
Texas
Baylor
WVU
K-State
TCU
Texas Tech
Texas
Oklahoma
Ok State
Texas Tech
WVU

Non-tournament: 13
Tournament: 18
Percentage: 58%

If Texas sneaks in, it goes up to a crazy amount – 20 tournament teams vs 11 non-tournament teams (64.5%).

Buehler445 01-16-2014 11:52 AM

UTEP Iona and Towson could be in if they win their conference.

Fansy the Famous Bard 01-16-2014 11:54 AM

I think Wake makes the tourney as well. They are currently #59 RPI which will increase after their games against syracuse\duke etc... They are 12-5 currently, and with a weak bottom half of the ACC, could end up with 21 wins before the ACC Tournament.

Bench scrubs giving bulletin board material for next month, that's nice.

KSU is a team that lost to terrible Northern Colorado and Charlotte this year, in addition to getting blown out by Georgetown on a neutral court. The only fluke here is how they've managed to win 13 games so far.

Say thanks to
Oral Roberts (8-8)
Long Beach St **twice - (5-11)
Central Arkansas (4-10)
South Dakota (6-9)
Troy (7-9)
Tulane (9-8)

FWIW, Uconn @ Memphis is a decent game.

Not having Thomas Gipson REALLY hurt this team early on. They are a completely different team than the one that lost those first two games to UNC and Charlotte. Not sure we beat GT even with a healthy Gip.

K-State has no offense. They'll be lucky to make the tournament this year.

And if you can't call a shitty team from the Big Sky conference that just lost to Montana State this week terrible, I don't know who would qualify.

lol no kidding that guy is a liability out there.

it'd be one thing if he fit the "white guy guard = sharpshooter" profile but he can't shoot worth a shit during a game. He's not even quick enough really to get open.

Chiefs Pantalones 01-17-2014 09:49 PM

Aaron Rodgers was in Lawrence today for some reason. Anyway, he watched KU's practice and gave some tips to JoJo on how to celebrate Marcus Smart style...

@jojo_embiid: Aaron Rodgers stopped by today to watch practice and show me how to do Backflips

Shogun 01-17-2014 09:56 PM

Hes a KU fan who is crossing off a game at AFH on his bucket list.

Chiefs Pantalones 01-18-2014 10:22 AM

Selden on Smart and Wiggins on Brown perhaps? I think Selden's strength could give Smart fits but also foul trouble. Wiggins would be chasing Smart around all day. I think Wiggins on Smart would be better because Wiggins' length. Try both?

TambaBerry 01-18-2014 11:16 AM

Can't put Wiggins on smart because he will get in foul trouble.

Prison Bitch 01-18-2014 11:27 AM

Cobbins being out really hurts them badly. He's a nice college post player, a better version of Kevin Young. If KU takes many 3s today they're nuts.

My point is that anything can happen. We lost 3 in a row (including to ****ing TCU) after a 7-0 start. KU had to get really lucky to get the share last year.

My point is that nothing is a given.

I'm not worried.

Our non-conf schedule was tougher than what our conf. is going to be...@OSU is the one that worries me the most. And there is a good chance we will drop a couple that we shouldn't...but so will everyone else.

Kansas was easily the best team in the league last year in terms of any metric you look at. Then they rolled the league tourney. There wasn't really any "luck" involved. It would've been unlucky had KU not won it

Fair enough. My point was that it looked like the conference race was done when KU won the 7th game in a row. Then they dropped 3 in a row and had to depend on KSU to lose in order to get that share.

Yeah, Baylor is in a tail spin and AFH is not the cure for their ailment.

I fully expect Drew to make awful decisions and the Baylor team to look overwhelmed tomorrow night.

Tons of talent. No leadership.

Baylor always comes at us.

Austin actually scares me some. He's as tall as Embiid, and can play outside. We'll see how that goes. Cherry could potentially beast. Releford is not here to shut the **** out Heslip.

We should win, but it is far from a given.
