5 turnovers in less than 6 minutes. LMAO

Nobody's head is in this game.

Meatloaf 03-01-2014 08:20 PM

No point guard. Get Frankamp in there. Sheesh.

TLO 03-01-2014 08:20 PM

Ugh.

It seems we always struggle at OSU.

Woo, a point.

KC_Connection 03-01-2014 08:22 PM

Tharpe. LMAO

Mr. Plow 03-01-2014 08:22 PM

Just sleepwalking right now.

TLO 03-01-2014 08:22 PM

WTF Tharpe???

Meatloaf 03-01-2014 08:22 PM

Tharpe needs to walk back to Lawrence. Now.

Ceej 03-01-2014 08:23 PM

Perfectly run fast break.

chiefsfan987 03-01-2014 08:23 PM

What was that 10 empty possessions out of our last 11 trips down the court? Come on guys!

Au contraire mon frere. Frankamp plays better defense than Tharpe or Mason.

No, Frankamp is a bad defender too. Mason is the best of the three in that area.

Much better floor balance when Frankamp's in there.

Frankamp isn't going to see much time the rest of the year.

KC_Connection 03-01-2014 08:27 PM

It's not surprising, but KU so far is playing like a team that doesn't care, just like they did in the Baylor road game last year. Going to have to work hard for this one and they just may not have that kind of effort tonight.

Frankamp's awful defense is the main thing that's kept him off the court this season. Have no idea what you're on about.

The games I have watched, Frankamp seems to add a "steadying" influence to the ball handling, when he's on the court. He doesn't try to make the fancy pass!

Ceej 03-01-2014 08:28 PM

Not sure that spin has ever worked.

And it's pretty obvious when it's coming.

It's like the Chiefs calling a draw.

Frankamp isn't anywhere near the caliber of playmaker of either Tharpe or Mason either. He may make the safe pass more, but that's because that's all he's capable of doing right now.

TLO 03-01-2014 08:29 PM

That camera looks pretty cool I guess.

Meatloaf 03-01-2014 08:30 PM

Trust me, we cannot win when Tharpe plays this bad. Mason's game is to drive the ball, which is NOT what Self asks/wants of his point guards. Hey, I like Mason, and the kid can score. Just don't think he's the point guard we need yet. Honestly, I don't think we have a point guard that can take us to the Final Four this year. When Tharpe sucks, he can ruin everything. Mason's not ready. And since you boys don't like Frankamp, I guess he's not the answer either. I guess. NOT.

Ceej 03-01-2014 08:31 PM

Smart should have flopped.

KC_Connection 03-01-2014 08:32 PM

How was that ball off KU? LMAO

TLO 03-01-2014 08:33 PM

Oh Wiggins... if you'd only learn to finish at the basket.

Meatloaf 03-01-2014 08:33 PM

BTW, Tharep finally made a play (pass to JoJo).

Mr. Plow 03-01-2014 08:33 PM

God help other teams if Wiggins starts finishing strong.

Mr. Plow 03-01-2014 08:34 PM

The fact that we are even in this game right now is remarkable.

KC_Connection 03-01-2014 08:34 PM

This game has been horribly played so far by both teams.

They've won plenty of teams with Tharpe playing poorly. It's just a lot easier to win when he's playing well. He is an important piece for this team.

And it's not that I don't like Frankamp, it's that he's not a very good player right now.

Lzen 03-01-2014 08:35 PM

KU back on top.

Add the shooting percentage for each team together and it's a nice 55%...

KU is making mistake on offense but the defense has been solid. That's why we are still in this game. That's what they will need come NCAA tourney time.

RealSNR 03-01-2014 08:37 PM

I'm getting pretty sick of Tharpe's shit

Well apparently Coach agrees with you. I just like Frankamp's game as per maintaining floor balance. Plus, I think he stays in front of his guy much better than Tharpe.

Nonetheless, I agree that Tharpe is critical to this team. He's just a very frustrating player as per his up/down play.

OSU has been pretty out of control so far too. Although that might have something to do with Embiid's presence, they can't play their normal game with a rim presence like him.

Uhhh, I believe one of those blocks was by Ellis, everybody's favorite defensive whipping boy.

He's everybody's whipping boy in that area for good reason, no?

And Embiid's presence goes further than blocks, it freaks opponents out, changes shots, and prevents them from attacking as normal.

DJJasonp 03-01-2014 08:42 PM

Black will destroy Smart.

Mr_Tomahawk 03-01-2014 08:43 PM

I'm pleased thus far.

Holding OSU under 20 pts at home thus far is damn impressive.

KC_Connection 03-01-2014 08:43 PM

Is Tharpe even awake right now?

Mr. Laz 03-01-2014 08:43 PM

what the hell is Tharpe doing out there?

Mr. Plow 03-01-2014 08:43 PM

Frankamp coming in.

Meatloaf 03-01-2014 08:43 PM

Tharpe having a really bad game so far. KC, you SURE you don't want Frankamp in there?!?!?!?!

DJJasonp 03-01-2014 08:43 PM

every other game, Tharpe smokes pot prior to game time it seems.

Ceej 03-01-2014 08:43 PM

I sure hope Tharpe gets this shit out of his system come tournament time.

Oh, I agree about Embid. Ku's defense is much better with him in there.

As for Ellis, yes, he has been not good on defense. However, I have noticed his defense improving as of late. Ever since that KSU game, he has stepped it up on defense from what I've noticed.

Meatloaf 03-01-2014 08:45 PM

Frankamp in, Wiggins reacts!

Shogun 03-01-2014 08:45 PM

llololol

"marcus smart flopped there"

Mr. Laz 03-01-2014 08:45 PM

just throwing the ball to the other team for no apparent reason

KC_Connection 03-01-2014 08:45 PM

Best flop attempt ever. LMAO

Ceej 03-01-2014 08:45 PM

Good luck defending that one KCC.

TLO 03-01-2014 08:45 PM

Smart flops.

Meatloaf 03-01-2014 08:45 PM

Was that another Smart flop?

Mr_Tomahawk 03-01-2014 08:45 PM

Awesome-smart

DJJasonp 03-01-2014 08:45 PM

I hate that F****r so much.

Flop count: 2 1/2 (the last one was 1.5)

RealSNR 03-01-2014 08:45 PM

What was the over/under on Smart flops tonight?

Meatloaf 03-01-2014 08:48 PM

I kinda think Smart's an ok guy, he just seems/acts VERY immature. Plays like a super talented middle school player. Every touch is exaggerated as if he was killed. Very odd for a guy SO talented.

What's wrong with flopping? They generally help his team. What I can't defend are the poor shots he's taken in this game.

DJJasonp 03-01-2014 08:48 PM

again, if you're a walk-on....with limited skills, I get the flopping (as you dont have much in the tank talent-wise).

But if you're a first-round pick, and you act every opportunity you get - that makes you a bitch.

Lzen 03-01-2014 08:48 PM

I'm pretty sure after Smart did back clips on KU's court last year that Self challenged his team to beat him up and outphysical them.

I suppose that makes Durant, LeBron, Kobe, and Harden bitches too. Because they're all excellent at it.
