Was told Chiefs have reached out to Byrd's agent. Was told it was just a touching base thing initially but not sure how much talks progressed.
Interesting that they did reach out to him. It could have just been testing the waters to see on prices. I didn't get a ton of clarification. I doubt it happens though. |

Schwartz is very happy to cash out, and I don't blame him. He's almost been as excited about becoming a FA as he has been to get married if you follow him on the Twitterz.

Based on all these reports, this place is going to be ****ing livid come this time tomorrow.

Or because we're going to sign somebody everybody hates to a big fat contract? |
It would be a lot to pay for two safeties, but damn Byrd and berry would be pretty salty
|
I have a better chance of receiving fellatio from a virgin unicorn than Chiefsplanet has of being happy on the opening day of FA on any year.

Everybody has to be good at something and this is a passing league... |

I think there are a few guys who could help that won't break the bank, but they are going to sign quickly. |

I'd sign Byrd, a DL and then fill the remaining holes in the draft. |

Maybe Byrd is headed to Denver? |

But I agree |
So where's the big news?
There seems to be an absence of a certain ornithological piece. A headline regarding mass awareness of a certain avian variety |
Anything on Abdullah TBG?

Honestly, I'm not upset about it. I've posted it a couple of times today - teams like the Jags and Raiders are going to be (or already are, in some cases) throwing around RIDICULOUS money. I know it sucks to be inactive during free agency but this is one of those years where it might be a good idea to just avoid the circus. |
Quote:
Honestly, he best signings seem to be the 1 year variety prove it type deals. |
Quote:
Bowe and Charles are the primary receiving targets, while the rest are divided among the other receivers and TE. Avant would be, at best, a #4 receiving option. The draft is extremely deep at WR. I would rather those last 2 spots on the depth chart go to younger guys who can develop. |

If we can't re-sign Abdullah, the plan better be to sign someone better. TJ Ward or Byrd are the 2 guys that would best impact the effectiveness of this defense as a whole IMO...even though that would cause us to have to shuffle some pieces around.
They need to make moves at safety in FA if we are gonna have a shot at giving Denver a run for their money in the division. |
Anything new Frank?
|
Well this was productive.
|
Credit to BossChief, as usual, for correctly discerning from Dorsey's press conference that he only wanted Abdullah back.
BossChief has been on all offseason so far. Maybe the Chiefs *will* consider moving Hudson to guard. LMAO Seriously, nice work. |
lol

It's easy to read Dorsey because he isn't a bullshit liar like the last guy that was more interested in CIA tactics, his own image and controlling everything than building a quality football team.
I'd love to play poker with Dorsey... |

I was out all day and developed a nasty infection in my tooth. Crippling shit that I didn't expect. I was told they are going to let this first wave go and then get involved. I don't know if that means tomorrow or Friday, but they are bargain hunting on guys who got their ego knocked down a few pegs. |

Need a root canal? |

Last night the infection started. When my dentist hit the infected spot, it was the grossest and most awful feeling ever. You're a dentist, right? |
Quote:
Did you go to your general dentist or an endodontist? Why did they give you antibiotics? Problem getting numb the first time? |
Quote:
The pressure was like nothing I've ever felt before. Got another week of antibiotics and trying to manage the pain and then I get step 2 of the RC done. |

Sorry bad guy lol. I had that issues couple years ago. My entire right side of my face swelled. I had an infection. They had to cut open my gums to air it out and kill the anaerobic infection.

Tooth pain is the worst.

I now have a notepad titled "TBG Scoops" that is now half full of dentistry minutiae.
What has CP done to me. |

This free agency period is shaping up to be a big fat letdown... that doesn't mean ALL IS FAIL since there is a LONG way between here and the end of free agent signings.
But it DOES mean don't expect too much this year, besides another playoff berth that is... oh! someone forgot that was the goal? It wasn't, go back to the dance and don't cave in like a mountain under attack again... if the defense doesn't crap its pants who KNOWS how far we go. |
Quote:
Unfortunately, the Broncos seem to have their shit together. Ware doesn't worry me nearly as much as Talib and Ward. Those 2 signings by themselves make Denver the far and away winner of the first day of FA. |
How bout Oher Frank?

How's your tooth?

It's suspicious that Chris Clemons seems to be going the same route as the whole Sean smith thing did last year

Hopefully, it's a good sign. |
Speaking of teeth my post fell out of my root canal lol never got it capped...I'm ****ed lol
