I think you're doing fine. I don't know why anyone would want to be a mod, though. Seems like a pain in the ass.

I'm a moderator on a car forum and it's a thankless job. For the most part people will always take issue with one thing or the other. In my opinion you do a great job; that being said I voted yes just because I hate authority! Lol.

TL;DR..... Ha, anyway, this is the part that sticks out, the boss being happy. If you want to stay, the debate ends on the boss being happy. If you are tiring of the BS, then step down.

I missed most of the drama the last couple months. After the playoff loss I didn't watch a game until the probowl. I almost didn't want to watch the SB either. I went to the hub for the same reasons I went to fatchatter. I like the idea of talking about anything without all the immediate second guessing, insults and other trollish behavior. The lounge is almost as bad as DC, in my opinion. I haven't "left" though. Most everyone has a couple sites they routinely visit, I now have three.

No, your the best thing to come along since Shreddies. Like others have said you really don't see the mods that often, which brings me to my next point, why? Is a job requirement that you stay in the background and just cover up the stink.

The only ones that do are those that constantly act like dickheads or the ones that like to whine about every damn thing.

Never had a problem with any moderator. If it has become a job, then it is time to move on.

I have always been a fan of contiguous term limits for anything that's the least bit political or involves making judgments. So step down for a while if it's not fun anymore, once you're charged your batteries, maybe you go back to it.

But you've been very fair as far as I can tell.

I'm here all the time dude. Unless some kind of stink bomb hits the fan, I try to stay out of people's business. If I delete a mult or a douche bag, I don't make a thread about it, I just do it. Because you don't see people, doesn't mean they are not around. Every one of us has a different style and that happens to be mine, is that a bad thing? :shrug:

If your style makes you happy and you're content with it, along with improving every single day, that's all it matters, and who gives a shit what others think?

One thing I'll mention is this: I think the moderating team changes the names of posters far too often. In a way that's really an abuse of power. If you piss off a moderator, he changes your name to something insulting.

I don't know if all of the mods do this, if just a few do it, or if you're the only one. However, if you're the only one, then I think you should seriously consider stepping down.

I really don't care who the moderators are. I'm a guest here, and if shit gets bad, I'm free to leave. High moderation or low moderation, I still get what I come here for, and once I don't, I'll lose interest.

That said, if being a mod causes one ounce more stress to you than enjoyment, I'd step away. If you enjoy it and the "boss" thinks you're doing good, then stay. It's really that simple.
