The biggest hole on the Baltimore Ravens roster can only be filled by one man in this draft.

With the 17th pick in the first round of the Chiefs Planet Alt Mock the Baltimore Ravens select Jimmie Ward, S, N. Illinois.

Nice, Ward is a good player. Gonna be great next to Elam.

kccrow 04-12-2014 11:32 AM

The Miami Dolphins addressed some of their biggest needs in free agency by re-signing their own (Randy Starks, Brent Grimes) or bringing in players from the outside (Branden Albert, Shelley Smith, Earl Mitchell, Knowshon Moreno). The remainder of their primary needs offensively can be had on day 2. I look for them to address their primary need defensively with their Chaplain's son. The Miami Dolphins select...

Ryan Shazier - OLB - Ohio State

LoL. I've already said it would be early if I were a GM in a thread reply to Sac, but his dad is the Chaplain for the Dolphins and they need a WOLB in the worst way. Match made in heaven, literally haha.

Edit: Also, he's the most physically gifted player in this draft and happens to be a damn good player. He can not only run with tight ends, he can run with slot receivers.

OldSchool 04-12-2014 11:44 AM

Hmm, is he any better than Zach Brown was in 2012 I wonder . . .

I kinda like the Zach Brown band even though I love rock/metal, they were pretty good in 2012. :)

Shazier is more explosive, faster, and stronger than Brown and my opinion is he's a much better player. Putting up 143 tackles in the B1G is no small feat. He has the potential to be one of the best weak side linebackers in the league. The biggest draw though to me is they already know him as a person better than any other team in the league and the talent is definitely there to warrant a 1st round pick even if LBs traditionally aren't a sought out commodity early on very often.

A 6.90 3-cone is on pace with most slot receivers and his 4.38 40 shows he can stay with anyone. Plus he's got great size at 6'1" 237 and his frame doesn't look maxed out, like he could add another 10 pounds easily in his legs and upper body. So I don't think you say the floor is high.

Chief Roundup 04-12-2014 01:28 PM

I sure did think this would move much faster.

Pest is still OTC until 10:32 AM PST tomorrow.

The Franchise 04-12-2014 06:30 PM

The Arizona Cardinals select Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville

blazzin311 04-12-2014 08:24 PM

Green Bay was hoping that Calivin Pryor would slide one more Pick so that they could add him, to Improve their Atrocious Secondary Play from last Season. Now Green Bay must look for other options. They don't necessarily feel that there is another Safety worth taking with this pick, the top LBers they may have preffered are off the Board, and with the Addition of Peppers, and resiging BJ Raji, Defensive Line can wait a Round or Two. So instead of Defense Green Bay looks to Replace some of the Weapons they've lost on the Offesnsive Side of the Ball over the last Two Offseasons. They lost Greg Jennings, James Jones and Jermichael Finley. Outside of Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson, the Packers don't have anyone that really instills any Fear in the Opposing Teams' Defenses they may face. The Green Bay Packers select.....Odell Beckham Jr., WR, LSU. This allows them to put Beckham Jr. opposite of Jordy Nelson and move Randall Cobb back to the Slot where his skills are best suited, and Jarrett Boykin would then be their Fourth Receiver.

OldSchool 04-12-2014 08:30 PM

KC pass rush fell apart with the absence of Hali and Houston in the lineup. With Houston working on a contrat year Ealy gives the Chiefs flexibility in negotiations next spring.

OldSchool 04-12-2014 11:29 PM

If Hali was able to make the transition to OLB, there is no reason why Ealy can't do the same.

i got Ealy for Bengals in other draft. I know this would pretty much signal the eventual end of Hali but he lives up to potential damn him and houston rushing the passer. Very scary situation guys!

With the 30th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select:

Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio State University

http://blacksportsonline.com/home/wp...adley-Roby.jpg

After the arrest of Chris Culliver and losing one of their better cover men in Tarrell Brown, the 49ers' are in dire need of an upgrade in their secondary as the only starting caliber CB they have remaining is Brock. Bradley Roby is one of the most athletically gifted corners in this draft and has major upside as a #1 CB.

Yeah, I have zero faith that Kelvin Benjamin is going to turn into anything more than a career back-up. There are several Wrs left that I would take over Benjamin.

I think Verrett is going to be one hell of a player though. He has everything except for great size.

The Seattle Seahawks could use some help at a few different spots in this Draft. They could use a bit of help on the Offensive Line, Corner and Wide Receiver. They could also use some help on the Defensive Line, after losing some Key Players to Free Agency. With the Final Pick of First Round, the Seattle Seahawks select....Ra'Shede Hageman, DT, Minnesota. It was a reach to a player that filled a need and was the kind of player they are looking for in CB or RB. Their Oline is not in bad shape, but their WRs are not great either. Best value for the team.
