Listo is right, that's how it's generally been done. Kind of an unwritten rule.
I'd imagine the mods would move it to draft lounge anyway so post away |
I'm all for the Draft Forum but JFC, the draft is just weeks away and SHOULD be discussed in the Lounge at this point.

my only grievance is that if a sub-forum exists and the topic of discussions fits the sub-forum, then it should be posted and discussed in that sub-forum. It's not even just the Draft. The premise people are arguing means that it should be regular practice to post just about everything in the Lounge. What a cluster of crap that becomes. I mean, if I watch a TV show weekly, like Arrow, should I post it in the Lounge, or post it in the Media section? Well, to keep the board relatively organized, I post in the thread on the show Arrow in the Media sub-forum. Most others do the same, even those arguing against me in this very thread. I come here to talk about the Draft, the Chiefs, and Media stuff primarily. I browse the lounge and if there is something that interests me I'll post in it. But, as we see, the posts in the lounge quickly fall off the front few pages of threads. On the other hand, topics in the sub-forums get seen and visited more frequently and generate more discussion than they would in the Lounge. I'll be a good ol' boy and drop it for now. We'll see how it goes. |

I, generally, don't start making draft posts until after the end of the season. To me, "draft time" is the off-season process up through the draft. At what point does it become practical to post draft related articles in the Lounge versus the Draft forum? I must know this for future reference sensei. |

First off, never said Sauto was being an ass. Don't think either of you are being an ass. (Well, maybe a little, but not the basis for my thoughts anyhow).
I believe that I was being logical. My thoughts on the Lounge are that its for random shit that just kind of becomes that day's news and moves along. I prefer sub-forums for shit that you want to hang around for a while. Hence, the draft is a 3-4 month process and its nice to go and look at shit people posted without sorting through 45 pages of threads. I, personally, like to add to a post later on if there are new developments related to that post and don't want to have to remember it was in the Lounge and search for it for 10 minutes just to make the post. Either way, it's pointless to argue it any longer. I've made my decision. No ill will toward any of you. |

Most of the draft stuff you do should be in the draft planet. I agree. But most of the average everyday posters don't want or care about the draft until the weeks leading up to it, so they like to see mocks, etc in the lounge. It's just the way it's always been. I like it because it keeps the draft area pretty secluded and without alot of thr bullshit you see in here, the. We get to talk about the draft later here. |
